Here is a nice new piece from Bremont that you can't get. Bremont will produce these C17 Globemaster watches for a select group of "pre-selected" military personnel to get one - basically for one squadron as I understand it. The pieces will be highly limited as well. Each Bremont C17 Globemaster will be limited to just 50 pieces, and it comes in a few versions if I understand correctly.The watch is meant to honor the high-tech C17 cargo plane. I don't think there was ever a cooler looking cargo plane than the C17 Globemaster III. This is probably one of the most modern planes that a watch has been based on. Usually it is a historic plane that gets the "timepiece treatment." Bremont, a primarily aviator watch brand, is said to have worked closely with C17 pilots in developing the watch.Not sure about the size but I would guess in the 43mm wide range. My Hamilton Yorktowne (1940)
Greetings folks,Well, I just got back from being "restored to working condition" my grandfather's Hamilton Yorktowne. It's a 20 x 35mm rectangular cased, 10k gold-filled watch with Hamilton Calibre 980, 17-jewel, manual wind movement. The serial number on the movement dates it to 1940-1941.I never really knew my grandfather as he died in 1966 when I was a bit more than 3 years old. I was named after him. My grandmother kept the watch in a drawer for nearly 40 years and I inherited it while cleaning out her place after she passed away a few years ago.The partial restoration dealt mostly with the mechanicals because, naturally, I wanted to wear it but some cleaning and polishing took place as well. A friend of mine, who's an amateur watch-making enthusiast, did the actual work and he did a great job. We left the original face essentially unrestored for monetary reasons and we couldn't find a new crystal. But, now that I have it back I'm glad that we didn't. I like the vintage ch

With a steel sub as the only other piece in your collection which would you opt for? Or is the answer simply to wait for a possible in-house movement in 2018 for the AP or a ceramic bezel on the Daytona? This is not a personal dilemma I am just curious what everyone would go for :).
