I got it from a Danish guy who has an excellent relationship to an AD in Sweden. The Milgauss is BNIB, has all the plastic on, and comes with the certificate without my name on it plus a receipt. I paid MSRP, btw. As usual, here are a few pics..There was a LOT (15 pcs) of plastic on it:I opted for the Milgauss over the DJ 116234 that I also had thought about buying for the following reasons:Size: I have had DJ's before, and imho it's just a bit on the small side for my wrist. The 40mm. Milgauss fits me better, imho.Looks: The Milgauss is just SO different than my two other watches. Also, you can use it both as a dress or everyday watch. You can dress it up or down. Also, I wanted something totally different from what I have owned before.Resale value: Had I bought the DJ, I would be badly hit if I choose to re-sell it. Very Lucky, or Very Good ??
My GMTc has run about a minute slow since I bought it last February. I didn't want to have a new watch adjusted, so I gave the movement a few months to break-in and/or selttle-down. I work in Manhattan, so I finally took it to the Rolex building on 5th and 53rd for an adjustment. They took the watch and said I was correct, it was a little slow and they adjusted it. Whoever performed the job is either very good or very lucky, this watch is to the second since the adjustment over 3 weeks ago. He turned those adjusting wheel-nuts just right. Like I said, either VERY good or VERY lucky to hit it right on first attempt. I was really impressed.Bob

5165 buy or not?
Hi all, I would like to know what you think about the 5165? Is there a big difference between the 315/293 Caliber and the 324? I think that the 5165 movement is not in-house while the 324 is, can someone tell me where the 315/293 came from if not from Patek and is it a good movement, were there issues with it?Since I will be living in Thailand soon and want a daily beater for sports and swimming do you think it's ok? Can't seem to find the WR on it, one site says 70m, another 100m, does anyone know?I am interested in it because I like the fact that it's not made anymore, there are only 2 on chrono 24, the fact that it's 2mm less doesn't really bother me, I will go see one this week in Paris and see how it fits, it's from 2008 and has been serviced and polished by Patek, so it should look like new, the price is 13.200 but I should be able to get for a little less.Basically I don't care about retaining value as if I get one I probably would keep it a very long time as a daily beater, goi

Flipped 116200 for 16570
First Rolex was a 116200 which I bought last May, always felt the 36mm a touch small. Found that 40mm is what suits me best, I’ve a 14060M and DJ41 blue dial so wanted the polar white face as a change to the other 2 Rolex I have....Traded my 116200 for this 16570, 3185 cal from 2006 which arrived today. This is gonna be my daily beater, really like it.
