Cartier W62020X6 wrist watches news:
Anyone know any specifics?
Well, here it is, my first art deco watch from the roaring twenties! All of these Illinois pics you guys have been showing really got me interested in this period. I think this watch is a real beauty and what a restoration job on it, it's just perfect, as though it just came out of the factory. It has a very nice redial and the hands are perfect to. The 6 jewel movement keeps time very nicely. Gorgeous cordovan band to. I havn't found a name for this model, but the year is 1927. The case is somewhat plain for it's day, because I have seen some really ornate cases and dials from some Benrus watches in that period. These are the sellers pics, because they really do the watch justice and are far better than my own, although I'll take a few of my own soon to -
Hi Guys,True beginner here.Bought this Vulcain watch because the dial looked different from any other Vulcain and I can't seem to find a similar one. Anyone familiar with this? Can anyone guild me to a better resource to try and find out?Men's Vulcain watch $.99 N/R. - eBay (item 170665234036 end time Jul-12-11 13:39:32 PDT)ThanksJeff
I have posted about a recent acquisition here (link) and am curious about the age of the watch and movement type. I know there were many 17 Jewel movements produced over the years. Some pictures and questions:Movement appears to be in pretty good shape - seal was holding well.Looks to be a fairly standard 17 Jewel movement.I take the AS ST markings to mean the movement is from Adolf Schild - any ideas on which movement?I didn't think they stamped the years on movements - but, could this movement be from the 1950/51 batch???Any help, as always, is appreciated - thanks!B
I am really going around with what option I like better between the 42mm case and the 45.5mm case Planet ocean. Are there any differences in the lines, look, etc other than the size difference?
