Zenith 85.2060.405/23.C714 wrist watches news:
I see these differences from those two models, just from reading the Omega website...Caliber1861 vs. 1863, also the Omega site says respectively for each of these: "worn on the moon", and "used on the moon" is there a difference?CrystalHesalite vs. SapphireCasebackSolid Stainless Steel (Qualified by NASA) vs. Transparent casebackThe size are the same, I tried the 3573, and it feels really good , guess that the 3570 feels the same, also I think that I will never go to the space, so no risk of a broken crystal , so I'm deciding towards the 3573 by nowbut the 3570 is the original Moonwatch Which one will you choose, and why? Also, talking about calibers, is the 1863 better than the 1861?
I love when Sam my watchmaker calls after finishing a vintage acquistion for me. A few weeks ago I picked up a 1969 Constellation with the 751 day/date calibre. He called me when he got back from vacation and let me know it was done yesterday. I went down and picked out a band, and he put the buckle on so I'm wearing it today. (I purposely did NOT include a wrist shot just to drive Leo mad )There is one little freckle on the dial between the center pinion and the 7 o'clock indice over the "o":You can just see the Omega symbol in the center of the crystal:The buckle has a few tiny imperfections that aren't noticeable to the naked eye:Overall, I'm giddy! For a grand total of $520 I have a great watch with a mint movement in all original condition. This is the type of deal that makes collecting worthwhile.
I know these weren't super popular but I have wanted one for a while...very pleased. More pics to comeimage.jpg
Hi guys, prepared my BLNR for my return to the U.K. and return to work for next week! Muchos enabling by all your rubber fanatics out there! Chadridv especially! The watch feels amazing, much lighter and it looks even more sporty to me. Love Everest for including the facility to use the easy link, that was the deal breaker for me between this and rubberB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When it comes to Rolex watches I¡¯ve always been drawn more towards the professional sports models as opposed to the day date. One of the reasons why I really liked the DD 2 was because it looked more like like a dressy but still sports watch. I think the reason was because of the particular design and dimensions of the case¡ That made it look sporty¡ But with the day date 40¡ That doesn¡¯t look sporty¡ That lookslike a dress watch. That was one of the reasons why they discontinued the DD2 and replaced with DD40 Because people didn¡¯t like the dimensions of the DD2 when compared to DD36?I was just wondering what everybody preferred in terms of a DD40 vs DD2 and Why?
