An amazing AP Tour !!
I was planning a vacation to Florida and wanting to look at some AP's but couldn't find a dealer. I decided to call the service center. Well, long story short, after a phone call and a few emails, I was set up with a tour at the AP Service center in Clearwater. The tour was so enjoyable I wanted to share a little with my forum friends, so here goes:The entrance is very nondescript with some large beautiful trees out front. I was let in by a security guard and led to a waiting area with some nice reading material. Contemplating my first....
I¡¯ve been lurking on the forum for a few weeks but this is my first post. I was attending a wedding a few weeks back and a friend(who is a jeweler) was wearing the SD in YG. I thought it was absolutely beautiful. I began asking questions and doing some research as I have never really paid much attention to Rolex before. I always wear a watch by alternating between 1 of 2 800 series Movados. After learning the price of the Sky D in YG, I quickly came to the conclusion that I could never justify paying that for a watch. As I have been going through looking at different watches, there are a few others that have caught my eye/interest, namely the SD43 and SDDS. For me, I think it¡¯s ridiculous to pay this much for a watch(especially since my $1k Movados look great)but there is something that just keeps pulling me back to the Rolex. It¡¯s like there is a force pulling me towards it that I can¡¯t shake. Can anyone relate? I figure if I just wait it out that it¡¯ll go away but it hasn¡¯t yet. I k

Got my first Rolex!
Been a big mechanical watch fan for a long time and had a few cool pieces (in my opinion, ha, ranging from Citizen and Seiko to Sinn and Omega ) that I bought throughout the years. Mostly tool watches as I love the engineering aspect of things.Always interested in Rolex due to its history and engineering, especially the Sub / Sea-Dweller series. But never convinced myself to spend the money. The past couple of years, I had been working in Hong Kong on assignment. As some of you probably know, there's a billion (no exaggeration ) Rolex ADs there. So my interest in Rolex picked up again.
