IWC Schaffhausen, the watch "engineered for men" as their motto puts it, has been involved in a number of partnerships with teams and events related to what I guess we could call "manly sports." One of these partnerships is between the Eastern-Switzerland-based brand and the Formula One team Mercedes AMG Petronas, who have so far dominated the season, by the way. The primary collection dedicated to this co-operation is the Ingenieur, the more rugged and sports-inspired among all IWC collections.I have actually spotted pit crew members wearing different models from this line during races, something I considered a nice touch. For 2014, Ulysse Nardin continues to move "in-house" by replacing many of its existing watch collections with new ones that include in-house made movements. With the "Perpetual Manufacture" the brand's perpetual calendar movement gets a full in-house treatment. Previously it was a sort of half and half movement combining an in-house module with something like a base Swiss ETA automatic. To debut the fully in-house made perpetual calendar movement Ulysse Nardin will release the first models as a limited edition set.Ulysse Nardin has been making in-house movements for quite a while, but most of them have been in their most high-end watches. This includes their various minute repeaters, tourbillons, and range of exotic high-complication timepieces. 15300 white dial legibility
I am currently looking to add a 15300 to my collection. I really like the blue dial best, but it will be unlikely I find one. So now I am looking into the white dial, but a little concerned with the legibility. Any 15300 owners who can give some feedback would be greatly appreciated. I also consider the 15450, but the dial looks like this dial might be even more shimmery, so any feedback on that would also be helpful. Thank you very much. - chris
