Seiko SSC307 wrist watches news:
Among the new Hamilton watches released at the world’s biggest watch fair this week: the Hamilton Ventura Elvis80, in honor of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s 80th birthday; and the Hamilton Chrono Worldtimer, an aviator-friendly new world-time watch.Elvis Presley ¡ª who would have turned 80 years old this year, on January 8 ¡ª famously wore a Hamilton Ventura watch in the 1961 movie Blue Hawaii. Afterward, that timepiece, which was introduced in 1957 as the world’s first “electric watch” and distinguished by its avant-garde triangular case, became widely known as the “Elvis watch.” Hamilton’s new version of the Ventura embraces its connection with the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, and even includes a nod to the 80th-birthday motif: Hamilton has outfitted it with the recently introduced Hamilton H-10 movement, which carries an estimable power reserve of 80 hours. The Hamilton Ventura Elvis80 carries all of the classic Ventura de
I saw this list on another forum, and I thought that it would be a fun discussion. Please note, I have driven/worn each watch/car listed below, I have been fortunate enough to own a few of them, and I think each one brings something special and unique to the table. So, here it goes: Rolls Royce: Rolex: Built to last forever, superbly reliable, staid styling, and dated, but proven engineering.Ferrari/Lamborghini/Maserati/Lotus: Panerai: Gorgeous, what is inside is suspect, spotty build quality, spotty reliability, but, when they work, they look and run beautifully.Bentley/Aston Martin: JLC/Zenith/Admars Piquet: Slightly less well built and less reliable than Rolls Royce, stylish, equally sporty and luxurious, and current engineering.Mercedes: Omega/Cartier/EBEL: Nearly as well built as Rolls Royce, conservative, current engineering, emphasizing luxury over sport.Range Rover/Jaguar: IWC/Ulysses Nardin/Corum: Less well built less reliable than Mercedes and BMW, stylish, elegant, contempo
Hi guys, I'm new on this forum. I just wanted to know if it's true the rumor about Breitlings using the Sellita SW200 movement. There are some comments on the internet forums, but I couldn't find anything on the Breitling's website.I know Breitling is not part of the Swatch group, so maybe they're beginning to use another movement aside the ETA ones due to the ending of their supply in 2009 or 2010.
Late birthday present from my Uncle. It is a Victorinox Ambassador 241072.-anti-reflective sapphire crystal front and sapphire crystal back-40mm diameter -10mm thick25 jewel automatic, ETA 2834First impressions-like the dark blue dial and the like the day/date locations. The bracelet seems very nice and I like the seamless clasp look. I think my Hamilton Khaki Navy diver has the exact same movement, but the crystal lacks an anti-reflective coating and makes the dial hard to read. Happily, this isn't the case with this watch.
