Girard-Perregaux Creates Ermenegildo Zegna Centennial Limited Edition
2010 marks the Centennial year of Ermenegildo Zegna, one of Italy¡¯s longest standing family-driven enterprises. Four generations of the Zegna family have directed the company¡¯s activities and created a global brand with stores in eighty six countries. To celebrate this anniversary, Zegna is launching a limited edition watch created by Girard-Perregaux. The edition is limited to 100 pieces, available exclusively in the Top 20 Ermenegildo Zegna flagship stores worldwide. This centenary watch expresses the Ermenegildo Zegna style while maintaining the spirit of a Girard-Perregaux. It also pays homage to the Zegna’s origins, as Angelo Zegna, the father of the founder Ermenegildo, was a watchmaker by trade. The round, pink-gold case houses an annual calendar movement with a highly original display. The date appears in a counter with the numerals delicately reproduced on the dial. Prices increase
I have just come to know that in UK Patek will increase prices of 5,5% from September the first. Anybody knows if this increase will be even applied in other countries ? Many thanks

Advice needed...
Hello TRF memebers,To commemorate my birthday and a special moment in my life in April, I was on a quest to find a Patek 5127, which has always been one of my favourites. As the model was discontinued in 2013, pre-owned was the only option, and in searching for one, I found one at Watchfinder.co.uk via their website.Having initiated the transaction on their websibe, I had the first viewing of the actual piece at their showroom in Royal Exchange in the City, the piece seemed OK at the time. In this light, I decided to go ahead with a part exchange deal for my AP + cash for it (the trade price wasn't great but I understand that they are a business). I handed them over my AP and settled the agreed difference at their Royal Exchange store but I wasn't allowed to take the 5127 there and then, as the deal was subject to them being happy with my AP. So the sales assistant took the 5127 back to the stockroom, and in doing so, she dropped the watch on their table, which is covered with some sor

Dear Rolex:You do know that I am a Rolex Geek Squad member (as called by several of your boutique staff); and that just like my fellow TRFers, we get goosebumps and start conversations everywhere a Rolex is even hinted. You do know that I, just as most here, are on the verge of a nervous breakdown as Basel is around the corner...the same problem I have year after year.
