- I love it! Both the fact that it's a watch and a beautiful piece of jewelry. Looks more expensive than it really is. It's such a beautiful shade of blue.

- Both the compass and the altimeter have ved very accurate during a recent winter trip to 6000 ft. Easy to set a different declination on the compass.

Maurice Lacroix PT6148 wrist watches news:
Hi all, this watch was left to me by a old friend over 20 yrs ago. I would love to find out when roughly it was made and hopefully the model.Thank you in advanceimage.jpgimage.jpg
Hi,I was wondering if anyone could help me with my question.I own an Omega Railmaster chronograph with stopwatch (2008) and i notice 'ghost' figures of the watch hands on the glass (on the inside of the glass) The ghost figures move at the same time of the hands and i am wondering what is causing this? reflection? moisture? optical illusion? can anyone help? Many thanks
Finally took the plunge and bought a Seadweller 43mm, to replace the SD4000 I sold just before they were discontinued. I was a bit wary given the increased size. But it works for me, and I do prefer this model. What strikes me is how the extra size of the dial creates more space, so it seems less cluttered than the 40mm model. Add the red writing and it just becomes a more interesting watch.Which I never expected or noticed from photos.
Never thought this would fit, but ... your thoughts?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've only done some very minor calculations, but it seems that an all gold watch, let's say a Submariner, is much more expensive than a SS version, and at the same time, the value of the gold itself does not seem to match the higher price. For example, msrp for a SS Sub Date is 8,550. But a gold Sub Date is like 26k. I don't think there is 17k worth of gold in that watch, is there? Maybe 8-10k at most. Is the gold just harder to work with? What else might account for the price difference?
