- I was pleasantly surprised by this watch/charm bracelet. I'm actually not a watch fan. Therefore, for me this is great! It's more of a bracelet, that happens to have a watch attached! I think it's gorgeous!!! It is fairly chunky. (something else I liked) But, if you're looking for something and dainty, this is not for you...

Seiko SSC878 wrist watches news:
When it comes to aviation watches, we're generally limited to watches that follow a particular style (say, a flieger reference), or perhaps something that's based on a model from a brand's archives. It's a much less common thing for us to have available a civilian variant of a model that's available to an active military air force - but that's precisely what we've got with this new model from Dodane 1857.Interestingly, this new PVD version of their popular Type 23 model had its development funded by by the sale of specific watches (750 in total) to members of France's Air Force (makes for a rather interesting and specific military tie-in, for sure). Given those ties, it's not a surprise that Dodane is using a movement designed to conform to military requirements for toughness and accuracy, the Calibre 2030.Of course, you don't just have to take Dodane's word for it. If you like, via a special order process, you can have the movement in your new watch certified by the Besan?on Observato
There aren't many contemporary dress watches on the affordable end of the spectrum that are truly worth purchasing. The ones with any appeal are usually modern interpretations of historical designs¡ªHamilton and Tissot certainly have a few, as does Orient. But most of these reissues often miss the mark with a detail or two that leave one feeling cold¡ªa misplaced date window or an inflated case size, just to name a few. And the brands that do get it right, namely the Max Bill line from Junghans, are generally priced higher than comparable brands. But what if I were to tell you that there's finally a watch out there with all the right vintage details, boasting rugged German construction, and at an easy-to-swallow price just north of $500? Well, lucky day, because I'm about to do just that. Say hello to the Archimede 1950's.Archimede, as our faithful readers may already know, is a bit of a fan-favorite here at Worn&Wound.? Few brands offer the price-to-value ratio that Archimede does,
Hi all!Getting close to joining the Breitling family. Been Really considering a Superocean Chrono from my local AD, but I'm not sure I'm ready to shell out $3,200 even though that's a pretty fair price. I've started toying with buying a used watch to see if the Breitling look is really my style, and so I don't get hit with too much depreciation if I change my mind. I've been liking the "older" Chronomats, and have been eye balling this guy.LinkyMy only real concern is that I've decided 40mm is the minimum I's like to go, and this is listed as 38mm. I thought that all of these were in the 40mm range? What are your opinions on new vs used route? I do like the band style of the Chronomat a little more. (I'm definitely going for flashy here, but I need to be able to beat the watch up as well.) I figure I could always pay a few hundred to get the used one serviced for peace of mind, and still save $1,000+ on the deal.Help!
Just replaced my black croc bracelet with the two tone.
Wuz so looking forward to visiting (for the first time) as it¡¯s the only place in Shanghai that showcase PP. What disappointment - when we arrived, the security guy was very rude and shouting at people taking photos outside the building, no a/c inside and sweating my ass off, collection so small not a single Nautilus or grand complication to view and their is no service level at all. Goodness...what a difference compared to the salon in Geneva. No wonder all the mainlanders are flocking to CH and HK to buy.
