The last of the bunch
Well, it arrived today - the 22A project watch. The seller was very honest about the condition. It's in a little better shape than I thought, but the stain at 3 might be a challenge:the case is a little beat up, but cool lugs:it's from 1950 according to the serial number:case reference 2674:All in all, finding these intact with correct parts and not redialed is tough enough. This one and it's sister (the 22AS) will probably be going in for restoration at the same time a little later on. I really wasn't planning on adding this, but the opportunity arose and I had to grab it.

What Should I Get Her?
Hello everyone!The fast way to start this is to say that my long-time girlfriend is graduating soon from college and is dropping hints that a watch would be an appropriate graduation gift and I am in over my head.To give you an idea of just how little I know, I was given a Tag Heuer for my graduation and had no idea until a year later that it was worth more than $500.This isn't so much a willful ignorance as simply being of the younger sort and carrying a cell-phone with me at all times as my chronometer.With that said, I am wondering if anyone could offer me some advice on what would make a good watch that she can use for many years to come in her career.Here is what I know of what she would like:- Something that looks professional- Likes the three "sub-dials" on watches- Does not like "sparkly bling" (i.e. crystals, flashy colors, etc.)- Watch case should be between 20mm-30mm wide or so.- The thinner the case, the better (height rising off wrist)- Men's watches should beokay- Lightwe

Does anybody know anything about the Royal Oak Chrono "Kasparov"?
Speaking to a friend earlier, he made me aware of the Royal Oak Chronograph Kasparov. This is something I've never heard of and all I can find are chrono24 sellers charging more for Kasparov models.Is there any information regarding this and therefore any tips on how to differentiate between a Kasparov and non-Kasparov; or is it all a load of rubbish with sellers just bumping up their prices? Hi, just an FYI, I called Birks last week to inquire about a 233 and hopefully get some kind of discount. I was hoping that since the boutique is opening that they'd be more willing to deal with some competition coming. However, I didn't hear back for almost a week from the sales lady as she was trying to secure and R model for me. When I called last night to follow up, I was told that they no longer carry Panerai. I inquired further to say I only called last week and how that was rather sudden. She agreed it was and stated that they got a communication from Panerai on Monday saying that Panerai was pulling their watches and that they were no longer an AD. This was due to the boutique opening in the same mall later this year. So, can anyone tell me what type of discount percentage do other Panerai boutique offer if any?TxEverett
