IWC IW323304 wrist watches news:
I recently came across an incredible website – a kind of paradise if, like me, you are passionate about vintage watches. Timeline.Watch, started as the virtual catalog of experienced watch enthusiast Dan Henry after 30 years of collecting. It's an incredible project: an interactive timeline covering a period of a hundred years, and not only that: Henry has made it possible for other passionate collectors to add their watches to the timeline. I had the chance to learn more about Dan's ambitious project, his hopes, and how he had chased all those gorgeous pieces in the first place. Get ready for some good insights and a TON of beautiful watches. 1 OF 21 The Origin Of Timeline.Watch Louis WestphalenSo how did Timeline.Watch come to life? Dan HenryIt is very simple, it all started after a bad experience with a watch. I had just found an unpolished Rolex 1530 on eBay, it was in a perfect condition – a bit of context here, the R
So I'm new to the Breitling brand and saw in the manual that I should not set the watch between 8p and 3a. What happens if if do..or in this case did set the watch at that time? I was out and noticed that it had stopped when I got home and set the watch only to find out later I should not have.
I have a friend who basically does the estate/flea market/garage sale circuit and I asked him to keep an eye for anything that says Lord Elgin. Two weeks ago he called and said he bought a shoebox of watches at a garage sale and three were Lord Elgins. He told me he payed $5 for the box. He asked $40 for the Elgins...sold!Anyway, here are the other two. The square one doesn't run and the other runs but I'm not sure I want to put any money in it.The third one of course was the 760. It was dirty, and crystal looked like someone took sand paper to it, but once I cleaned it up, it looked pretty good. But, like the square Elgin, it didn't run.Anyway, sent it off to my watch guy and just got it back today. It was only a broken mainspring. He polished the crystal and buffed the case a bit and it looks great. The dial, hands, and markers look minty to me and the gold filled case is probably 93-95%. It even has the original crown. The only negative is that it is engraved on the back. Th
True story...(The bracelt resembles the armour, no?)
So I love the Submariner I bought last month. After people on here posting such amazing pictures of the DateJust 41 I thought I would make that my next one in a few months. Then, I am watching The Color of Money two nights ago and my eyes are drawn to Newman's watch. Of course, it is a DateJust. I decide to go to the AD today and get on a list. Then wouldn't you know it, they have the exact configuration I wanted. Two new watches in a one month period of time is a bit much, but I must admit I love the new one. I cannot get myself to wear my Omegas anymore.
