Omega 311.93.44.51.03.001 wrist watches news:
I am always torn about writing about Rolex watches - because frankly, they don't need the press. While I'd be happy wearing any number of Rolex watches (although I feel most of them are too small these days), there are a few interesting models that standout to me that don't get a lot of face time. In fact, many of my favorite Rolex watches are less than stellar sellers. These include two-tone models (Rolesor) and models like this Rolex Daytona with a meteorite dial.Personally, I love meteorite dials. I don't think that I collected rocks as a kid, but stuff from space did fascinate me. In this case, the "source" of the dial is actually more interesting to me than the look of it. Though I do admit, as far as stone dials go, acid washed meteorite is pretty nice. Plus, Rolex being Rolex, they are going to choose the nicest meteorite they can get their hands on. Rolex has a problem in this area though. There are so many "modified" Rolex watches out there, it is very hard to tell with rarer
I know the first think you see when you look at the new Certina DS-1 is the Tag Heuer Carrera. Yes the hands and face look devilishly similar, and the bracelet might as well being out the Tag Heuer parts bin, not that the Certina has anything to do with Tag Heuer, corporately speaking that is. No, Certina is one of the many Swatch Group brands, and as such can enjoy ETA movements for years to come. Regardless, Certina still loves to "imitate" Tag Heuer designs routinely. Tag Heuer falls under the LVMH group of brands.Certina watches aren't too common in the US, being mostly reserved as a low to mid-priced watch for more established watch markets. Regardless, Certina is a respectable brand, with a good level of quality for what you pay. The DS-1 takes you back to a time before digital watches when you needed to have high legibility analog watches, with a sporty flair. When you first digest the Certina DS-1, it is noticeably retro, but enjoys a good deal of refinement in it's handsome ap
Hey guys, I was wondering if I could ask some questions of you guys.1. what are some of the quirks you have experienced with a Eco-drive watch before? i.e. when it is at a low charge, the two second interval thing, or anything else.I ask as i noticed today when i got home that my watch had been in the dark all day long. it has been overcast all day, and i got home about an hour or so after dark *i didn't wear it today as i was in the mud all day...* well, i was taking a look at it after turning the light on, and the second hand did a double tap then went right on doing the one-second interval, no hiccups like that at all. Did my eyes just screw with me, or do i need to let the watch charge up fully?2. what does it take to charge one of these so that it isnt on the "one day" charge?3. am i just being incredibly picky, or am i missing something when it comes to how quartz function watches work, especially when it is needing to be recharged?thanks in advance guys. I will admit, i am total
What do you guys think? Ballpark value, no box or papers, not sure of the year, but it is from a reputable dealer I've done buisness with before and he'll give me a 1 year warranty. Thanks
With the 3 day movement, how often do you wind your watch? I'd like to do it every third day...but I know I'll end up forgetting to wind the watch if I don't have a set schedule. So then I was thinking of winding it fully Mon, Wed, Fri which would allow the watch to wind down once a week. Any thoughts on what would be best for the movement and for accuracy?
