Seiko originally made just 6 of the watches. It was made for Richard Garriot and worn by him into space. That specific piece sold for over $45,000 several months ago. It now looks one of the rare 100 Commemorative Edition pieces is being auctioned off on eBay, brand new. I was in NYC the last few days and made to Tiffany's to check out the PP flagship. What a beautiful store, with multiple museum pieces on display.Sorry, no pics. It was not appropriate at the time.I was surprised when I was told the Calatrava was in very short supply in the US, all models. Can't get inventory.Was curious if this was situational to Tiffany's location, or true across the US.Not in the market myself, but it was clear they were really frustrated by having to say no to customers regarding that model. The quote was, We question their business model by not making the most popular edition available in the US. Couldn't try one on there or at Wempe. Thought it worth asking if this was the norm.
