Jaeger LeCoultre 270154 wrist watches news:
can anyone spot if this is a replica or not?
I felt it was my patriotic duty to spend my tax rebate on something that would help stimulate our economy. After many weeks of consideration, I decided to go with a classic that is now discontinued. So last night I pulled the ole trigger on a SMP (2254.50). With price increases and soon-to-be limited availability, I felt this model is a "must-have." Also, while my AD offered me 15% off (with 7% sales tax), I picked mine up for almost 30% off and no sales tax. It's scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Pics will follow.
after a few months of research, I have narrowed down my choices for a new watch to the following options:Breitling Super AvengerBreitling Avenger SkylandOmega Seamaster Planet Ocean (ref 2210.51.00; the one without the orange bezel)i am having a hard time deciding among the three, and it will ultimately come down to my gut feeling. just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on which one i should go with because of durability, maintenance cost, style, recognizability, etc. (based on prior ownership, research, or word of mouth from friends). your thoughts much appreciated!
I currently own a PAM563 and a PAM610 that I consider a base brother/sister combination. I am looking to add a third Panerai in the Luminor 1950 case. The three I am considering are all favorites: the 233, 1305, and 372. While I do agree that 44mm would be a more appropriate size, I am clearly open to 47mm. I have other dive, GMT options in my collection, though they are not Panerai such that complication really isn't important to me so much as overall look. The 233 is appealing with its domed crystal, sandwich dial, size. The 1305 would add a Submersible to my collection and I would likely keep it on a rubber strap which is something I don't currently have in my collection. The 372 is obviously the purest Luminor 1950 and has the most heritage. I would be looking for a plexi crystal version. I am eager just to hear your input and see pictures which direction I should go. My collection currently consists of two Rolex Submariners, an Explorer II, a GMT-Master II, a Datejust 41
Saw this on my social media feed this morning... It's a Hulk on a Rubber B strap. I think it is pretty funny and clever for Christmas!
