Well I guess that there is not enough action around here lately to find much enthusiastic guessing so I thought I would just start over. I could have gone for this watch,170500223714. I really wanted it, but I was afraid the bidding would get out of hand, and it did. In fact it got way overboard, more then I thought it would.So...I thought I would put smart money on this pristine and more reasonably priced beauty. A 1958 2852 SC GC Arrowhead Crosshair Connie in minto condition. Some of you may have seen this watch pictured before. It was featured in an edition of Desmond's blog among other places.Arrived this afternoon and I love it. It is like a 2 month old watch that was pampered. I feel fortunate and honored to receive it, coming as it did from a moderator on another forum (Thanks again Larry). Well without further babbling on my part, here it is. Photos from the seller and second lifetime owner of the watch. These will have to do for now until I take pictures. Hopefully Larry won'

Yes, another thread about joining the “club...” I just scored what I feel is a GREAT deal on a rose gold Patek Calatrava 5196.. box, papers, looks to be pristine condition... I’ve waited, I’ve asked, I’ve researched, and researched, and inquired on expired ads.. chrono24, TRF, ad after ad not deleted properly or,updated (why do sellers not update the ads on TRF after sellers sell their watches...). I bought from a TRF seller with absolutely impeccable feedback, but ironically not via TRF for this piece.. I’m excited and will post a few pics when I receive the piece. My 6.25 inch wrists will likely suit the 5196 well. I welcome feedback from other 5196 owners. I really researched this and feel like I have bought the watch that suits me. I love the solid case back and I love the look of the watch as it looks nearly 100 years old... I guess its design is.. I needed a nice dress watch and this perfectly fits. Feedback from other 5196 owners welcome.. I d
I remember 5205 was quite well received when it debuted (2010?). Now, it seems that some owners -fellow TRF members- could not cope with its different case shape and ended up flipping it. Some of the reasons mentioned here were that the watch wears too small, is too top heavy, too thick, unbalanced.Considering the options available for similarly priced annual calendars in the current PP collection (such as 5396G, recently updated with a stunning grey dial), does 5205 still hold its grounds?
