Breguet 5178br/29/9v6.d000 wrist watches news:
I finally purchased my first Rolex. A new 2013 stainless steel Submariner with date, model 116610LN. I can not wait to pick it up next week while I am on holidays in Jamaica. However I do have a couple of questions and was hoping someone would be able to provide some assistance. I came across an article indicating the AD I purchased the watch from had been robbed back in April and a number of Rolex watches were stolen and a number of these watches were recovered. Activist linked to Swiss Stores robbery arrested - News - Jamaica Star - April 18, 2013My question is if anyone knows whether the AD can resell the recovered watches as new or would they have to tell Rolex the watches were stolen? Obviously I do not want a previously stolen watch. Does the AD have an obligation to tell me if I am receiving a previously stolen but now recovered watch? What would the AD do with a recovered watch aside from selling it as new? Would Rolex allow them to do so?The AD is willing to provide the se
hi, i've come into possesion of an old oris gents dress watch - it has a gold case & gold coloured elasticated strap, and on the face " Oris, Waterproof, anti - shock, 17 jewels".above the 6 hour is a circular second hand.on either side of the 6 numeral is the usual "swiss made" wording.on the back of the case is "Oris - automatic (but the watch actually requires daily winding!) waterproof - stainless steel back".Would anyone know the vintage of this piece or the model name?Sorry for not having a photo.
G'day guys, I will come clean and say right off the bat that I normally hang around a bit on the Rolex forum. Please don't hold it against me! I have a couple of their diver watches and will soon be looking to get something a bit different - another iconic piece - The Navitimer.I have seen various versions of the Navitimer and I'm curious to see what you all think about them.I love the history of the watch and have decided it will be my first "pilots" watch. From what I can gather, the one to get is with the 7750 tri compax layout. They also seem to come with either the hour batons or arabic numerals. Which style is favoured by you all? Is one more traditional than the other?I normally prefer a bracelet but the Navitimer also looks great on the leather strap. Any opinions on the Navitimer bracelet? Are there any things I should pay particular attention to on the watch before selecting one? Any common "faults" that I should look out for?
Hey guys ! ! !HAPPY NEW YEAR ! ! ! ! !I thought that I would start off 2012 with my latest OBESSION, the Elgin size 6s trench watches. Now that this one is complete and known to exist this should just about be all of them (the dials I mean). There might just be one more COMPLETELY ELSUIVE 6s dial that was made, but this is just a theory at this time.I just finished up with this one about 3 hours ago. This is a 1918 Elgin Size 6s Trench Watch that has a FACTORY drilled lum hole military dial ! ! ! ! ! ! This is the ONLY Elgin 6s dial that I have seen that has factory drilled lum holes at the hour markers ! ! ! ! !And it has a set of COMPLETELY CORRECT AND ORIGINAL LUMED SKELETON HANDS ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! And the dial is DATE STAMPED ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !The Philadelphia "Silverode" case is now in excellent condition (after a bit of work). The case measures 44mm lug to lug, 38mm with the factory crown and 42mm with the crown.IT"S HUGE ! ! ! ! ! ! !And it still has the ORIGINAL FACTORY CROWN ! !
Hi all, you probably know that I bought my second Patek, a 5726 on strap less than a month ago, and even if getting a third watch in the near future is out of the question I wanted to know your opinion about these watches, which do you prefer, and in my case having a 5712-1A and a 5726 on strap which one/ones would be most interesting. At some point or another I will want to add a RG model to my modest collection, had the Daytona 116515 in ivory dial, beautiful watch but never loved it as I love my 2 Pateks.Of course I suppose the best for me would be the 5167R, first because I don't have an Aquanaut, second because it's gorgeous, hesitated between it and the 5726 but the complications factor came before the precious metal factor, and don't regret it one second, but if I am to get one day a third Patek it will definitely have to be a RG piece.Apart from the Aquanaut there is also the 5980R, won't have enough money to go for the 1R and anyways it's a little too much for me to pull it off
