Tick tick tickmakes you think of a quartz watch right? WRONG! Well, at least in this case. This fancy little Dutchman is a dead-beat watch. No that the type of dead-beat that won't pay child support, but rather a mechanical watch with a ticking seconds hand. The hell you say!? My new Omega
I just wanted to let everyone know that my SMP 2231 arrived on Friday March 13th (a lucky day for me). I was able to get the last one the AD had in stock.I'm thrilled with the watch, and have already received more compliments on this watch than any of my other watches. Personally I feel it looks better in person then in the pictures I've seen. I want to thank everyone that helped, by giving their thoughts during the decision making period. I know that everyone wants pictures but I still have to figure that out. Thanks again,Bezel

Thought I would share a couple of quick pix of my new Seiko.Pepsi Bezel, Grey Dial. LUME:I did not like the bracelet very much, so slipped the Bond Nato on it for a different look. I think I'll try a couple of leather straps in different colors to see if I can bring out the true color of the dial.

Sterling silver Waltham from 1918...
Okay, by popular demand...:DI bought this WWI Waltham a month ago off eBay.uk. It came equipped with an ugly little (10mm) vintage bracelet that I immediately replaced with this bund strap from England. The case is 36mm wide excluding the crown. The lion hallmark inside the case signifies sterling silver (0.925 purity), the anchor represents the Birmingham, England assay office, and the "W" in that font indicates the year 1921. Of course, the movement serial number coincides with Waltham's production records for 1918.So, vintage watches often carry special meaning, right? Well, here's the special meaning (by pure happenstance) with this one: The Waltham movement was made in 1918, the year my dad was born. The custom-made English case (by Dennison) was crafted in 1921, the year my mom was born. It so happens that my mom's second career (for 30+ years) was selling sterling silver at a snooty jewelry store. The 1921 case on this watch is made of sterling silver. Just as I am the

Hi everyone,Even though i have quite a collection of watches i would like to buy some more vintage watches. So i would appreciate some advice on what makes to look for that are quite reasonable on price and maybe increase in value over time. I already have an Omega Seamaster, a Lord Elgin Aquamaster, an Elgin pocket watch from 1919 and a Swiss Roamer from 1935 but would love to get some more so your advice would be great Many thanks, Bob.
