Okay, can anyone clear this one up? I have seen a fairly even split in postings describing bracelets/clasps that either talk about a deployant clasp or a deployment clasp.I can't find any dictionary or encyclopedia that defines deployant (after a quick online search). I even tried French & German since I figured Swiss watches have these influences in terminology, but - Nada, nothing, zero, doughnut, zip.So, opinions/help please - is there such a word as deployant?Probably a strange thing to wonder, but I'm curious about the origin of this word.Cheers.
Hi all - thought I¡¯d share as picked it up today when in the window at the AD. It¡¯s the Apollo 17 45th anniversary, and I¡¯m not sure I¡¯ve seen one on here yet.I love it. Not usually a fan of gold, but it¡¯s quite subtle and the blue is dark most of the time and comes to life in the daylight. The ceramic dial and bezel are great, and while it has sapphire it¡¯s nicely done. The adjustable bracelet is the nicest I have got (including my Rolexes) and made fitting a doddle. With all the upticks in spec, I think it was pretty good value although very little discount was available. The box is the usual omega thing, and is a thing of beauty albeit it will be seeing the back of my cupboard....Lots of pics - hope you like. Given my last thread on current SS price markups and if you had the $$, would you buy any AP, PP over a $18k SS Markup. A quick perusal through the non Rolex FS section brought up some nice examples of each. I am coming around to buying an AP ROO 15400 instead.
Curious if there is a post/thread or discussion currently ongoing that is tracking in stock inventory on interesting, hot, hard to find items across the USA. I travel quite a bit and stop in A.D whenever I get the chance. I am sure many in the forum do as well and feel like I, You, someone may benefit from the inside line on a certain item sitting in a lonely display case somewhere. The example I thought about and the reason why I ask about a current post for this is because a few weeks back I walked into an AD and saw a BLNR in the case for retail with no one on a list for it. I should have created the post then for someone to benefit from! But i didn't.....so I'm asking now for future treasure hunt finds that I choose to pass on.
