Technomarine 112022 wrist watches news:
You asked for it, you got it. Here is the IWC Pilots watch you've been waiting for – if you thought these were too big and this was too small. This is the brand new IWC Mark XVIII – the heir apparent to THE most important and iconic pilots line in the world. And, it's been dropped down in size to 40 mm, the dial's been cleaned up, and it's been given a brand new pair of (way more fitting) shoes. This one you're gonna like. 1 OF 3 The new IWC Mark XVIII is 40 mm in diameter. Up until today, the Mark Pilots Watch – the XVII – was 41 mm in diameter, featured an altimeter style date display, and came on an exotic strap. You could say that those three things have been remedied in the new Mark XVIII. The case size is now 40 mm, four larger than the Pilots Watch 36 and four smaller than the new Big Pilot. We now have a single date display, and on the black dial model, with a window also in black. Finally, the Mark XVIII now comes
It has been 4 full days now since the NYC Rolex sent my watch back and my GMT ll c is ONE second ahead.Imagine that,, from -8 seconds a day to +1 second in 4 days.It seems impossible but its true. What a watch. They did something right in NYC to get this so pin point accurate.DonI am super impressed now with my new GMT ll c.If any of you have one that is off I would send it in for regulating. I've seen pictures on different threads of the LE US SMP 300 Chronograph. What a beautiful watch. What is the story with that watch? Can it be found now. It looks just as nice as the Rolex Daytona
HiA friend wants to sell me a corum admirals cup and i want to know,by the initial photo he sent,if you think it's authentic or not.Thank you
One thing I've noticed in some of my Elgins from the 1950s is that the dials are curved. Now, this would not be a problem if they'd sunk the sub-seconds dial, but they didn't. This means that the second hand, when it comes up to the top of its motion, will scrape the dial if you push it too far onto the post. However, if you don't push it far enough, it falls off at the slightest bump, especially on a 55 year old watch that's been serviced a number of times.I have Fried's 'Watch Repairer's Manual', where he describes tightening the pipe on second hands by placing the open end in a concave conical stake in your staking set, and tapping lightly. I'm sure this would do the trick, IF I had a staking set! But I don't. So, anyone have any ideas how to tighten the pipe without crushing it in the absence of a staking set?BTW, in the course of taking down a bunch of 1950's Elgins, I've noticed another, more insidious problem that the dial curvature thing causes - bent 4th wheel pivots. I
