Omega 3570.50.00 wrist watches news:
Summer is apparently beginning in some parts of the world (or anonymousmoose is making it up), so why don't we discuss summer strap options for Speedys and Omegas in general.Leather is not good since sweat ruins it, so what is the next best option. I for one got tired of the wearing the bracelet everyday for months when the Speedy looks great on straps.NATO's look alright on Speedys, but they're really more of a dive watch thing. I tried a cheapish sailcloth style strap, but that just made my watch look cheap. I know a lot of people like carbon fibre, but the one time I saw one in person, I thought it also looked kind of cheap (though it was a noname brand and might have just been a bad example of carbon fibre). So what do you guys like for the summer?
I picked up the new Square that I bought for my son. It's a thing of beauty to be sure but it is very, very large. Just for smiles and giggles, I put a vintage Square next to it for comparison. The macro lens puts the vintage one out of focus but it's not like it's a foot back in the distance. The new one really is that much larger.
Why are there some watches that look greenish when exposed to light (because of the lume of course) and other still looks perfectly white (like Rolex)Maybe a silly question, but I want to know
Hello Patek lovers,I own mostly Rolex but have been enamored by Patek for a couple of years now. The piece that really speaks to me is the Nautilus 5711 in stainless. Unfortunately I am slowly finding out the more I inquire it is some kind of a unicorn piece, very hard to come by. This is a big investment for me and I want to try to purchase a brand new piece. My question to you Patek lovers and collectors out there is two-fold:1. Is there a way I could try to purchase a new piece within the US without waiting more than a few years say?2. If I had to pass on the 5711 due to lack of availability, would there be another piece that exhibits similar design characteristics within the say $30,000 price range? Thanks in advance for your time.Bharat
therefore this one :-)This is imo the most beautifull watch they made the last decade(s)It is just perfect. If you love chonographs this is the Holy Grail. Superb case, amazing dial, 42 mm so imo a great size. Not too small like most PP but than again not a silly 50 mm. Big or small wrist, 42 mm can be worn by anybody. And ofcourse let's not forget the wonderfull finished movement. So, to answer a question from another thread 'why does somebody buy a patek ? well, imo it it THE brand to get.15 or 20 years ago I started with 1 Rolex. The SS submariner. I saved a lot for that submariner because I still went to school, so I earned it with some jobs i did after school and during weekends.I think I saved almost 1 year LOLAnyway, years later i bought more watches , mostly sportswatches.I went to AD who sold Patek because I worshipped Patek but didn't feel old enough to buy one yet (I was around 25 years)I had the feeling a Patek was like a Jaguar, great but not when you're 25 :-)If I had t
