- looking for a square face watch for several weeks. this one caught my eye. it has a handsome face, not too cluttered, day, date, and moon phase. watch is light weight, but still nice feel.

Hello Omega gurus!I've been researching vintage Omegas for the past few weeks and have been reading this forum like a madman. I am very interested in purchasing a vintage Omega Seamaster, and have currently come across this one. Crossroads, or 'When you get to a fork in the road, take it'
I've reached a bit of a crossroads in my collecting/restoring activities. Up till now, i've been pretty successful with the homemade cleaning devices and solutions, and with cheap screwdrivers and tweezers and a smattering of more specialized tools. I've been pretty successful at bringing back to life a number of watches that were complete, but didn't run because they were dirty (you should have seen the grunge I found under an escape wheel cap jewel last night - Yechh!). However, I'm starting to run into the limits of my ability, and what my tools can do. I've got a couple projects stalled because they have broken balance staffs. Hitherto, I've been able to scrounge the correct balance from a parts movement, or find a balance complete on Dashto, but I've kind of hit the wall there. Replacing a balance staff is a whole 'nother thing from simply COA. Doing it right requires a number of specialized tools, and skills I don't have. It seems like the next step in my evolution will c

_____________The 2009 NYC GTG Report___ DAY 1 _______(pre-GTG activities)___________THURSDAY - May 14th 2009...after a minor delay due to a very windy weather we arrived to New York early THU afternoon.Leo's flight from So. Fl was even later so we waited for him a bit longer at the LGA airport.As you can see ...at least our cab from the airport knew to drive by some nice watch stores ;)As my friend Kevin and Leo arrived to the hotel, my another friend and Patek AD - Janos ....as well as anotherWTF member Bob ('twotone') were already at the hotel bar. At about 5 or 6 Bob head to leave but Chung Lee and his very nice friend Morgan joined us at the hotel bar as well.Of course, it did not take too long and we decided to visit the famous Korean restaurant that was sopopular after a big group of people went there last year. As you can see from the pictures - we werenot disappointed. The food was absolutely fantastic (although we did not understand one word as CLwas placing the order for our

Once again the Longines reigns supreme! I have 2 watches that aren't on here that got zero wears, my Longines Dolce Vita (needs a service and battery), and my Swiss Military. I think I need to take the Swiss Military out of rotation and retire it. I'll never get rid of it - I'd get too little compared to the sentimental attachment I have. But the competition for my wrist is just too fierce for the old warrior these days!

Just picked up a G-Shock "G-Lide" at the mall today. New watch; same crappy cell phone camera . Almost went with the bright red version but decided to get the white instead. This is definitely the most comfortable watch I've worn. Here are some pictures.
