Maurice Lacroix MP 7068 wrist watches news:
I watched about 10 minutes of the Merm today and based on what was said about large watches now coming out of the Croton shop, I have formulated a theory about WHY watches are getting so large. Here goes.Women are now buying and wearing men's watches in unprecedented numbers in the last few years. Men are threatened and subconsciously are not going to give up without a fight so to prove their masculinity (and superiority), they are buying even larger and heavier watches to maintain their watch-wearing advantage.Thank you.
Ap godzilla or ap elephant? For new ap roo slate grey 2014Whats ur opinion?
Nautilus owners - Have any of you adjusted the bracelet with 2 more links on the 12 o'clock side vs. the 6 o'clock side? This may be done so the clasp is centered on the wrist. Any input would be appreciated...Many thanks,Kamiar
The Celestial, currently available as 6102P and 6102R, and the previously discontinued 5102G, is a watch like no other in the Patek Philippe line up. It shows the evening sky visible from Geneva, along with the orbit of the moon and the stars, including Sirius the brightest star system visible from earth. The 6102 adds the date function and is available in 44mm diameter. On the wrist, the watch is not too overbearing in size.A respected TRF member and Patek mega-collector, Conkers (Roger), describes and shares his experience with the 5102G in the following thread:.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=492432I recently was able to try on another poetic watch from the jewelry company, Van Cleef & Arpels. Christian Van der Klaauw helped design the planetarium for VCA and is a marvel to look at also very wearable at 44mm. The RG and WG versions are both very nice. The Midnight in Paris watch in WG has a very different look from the Celestial and does not look as nice aesthetically in my ey
Finally got around to trying on a Patek Calatrava while on vacation in FL. It was a 5296-R non sector dial and it was stunning. Now it is singing to me....The challenge is the price. The AD actually followed up with a very aggressive price, still I would have to move a couple of pieces in the collection. Targets are my APRO 15400 and my PAM 000. The Sub-C would stay as a casual watch. But... I would still be about 9k short. And, I would sacrifice the RO which was going to be my exit watch and a watch that I love. I am not sure if I gain anything by moving from one holy trinity brand to another in this scenario. And frankly, the main reason why I am thinking of a Patek is that my Father had a 3445, and without going into reasons why it never made it into my possession. I am trying to be logical about this decision, or as logical as anyone can be with this stupid hobby but the heart is definitely at war with the head. Thoughts????
