Inherited an Omega watch and need help...
Hi there all,So my dad left me his Omega watch, it's a Dynamic, and after taking it to a local outfit here in Seattle to see if I couldn't find out more about it and get it cleaned up some I have found out a few thingsbut was hoping you all could provide some more insight.Nesbit's Fine Watch here in Seattle took it apart and gave me the following info:MVT: 563Case # 135.035MVT Serial# 28947116The last number (MVT Serial) she told me allowed her to date the watch to 1969. Anyhow, I'm looking to find out if anyone knows anything more about the watch. I plan on keeping it and wanted to get it looking nicethey told me that the cost is $590+ tax (OUCH!!!). More Omega Problems
I haven't posted on here for ages, mainly as I've been working all over the world.My Omega Planet Ocean LE developed a problem after less than a year of owning it, I jumped into a swimming pool and it leaked.It was sent back to Omega and they kept it for just under 6 months, then returned it to me repaired.A few months later I noticed condensation inside the screen, so I unscrewed the crown and left it to dry, which seemed to work.Fast forward until just two months outside of the two year warranty.I was working in the Caribbean, noticed it wasn't keeping great time and tried to adjust it...but the crown and stem had rusted and I couldn't alter the time.Now fair enough I like to dive and usually I'm in the ocean most days but isn't it supposed to be a dive watch?To cut a long story short Omega have had it now for 3 months and I was just informed I have to pay the repair bill myself.I own two Omegas and was already planning a third but my money will now go to IWC or Rolex. I've heard too

Some of us are more active than others.My question is for the active guys and gals. Where do you draw the line on what you wear while engaged sport activities like surfing, snorkling, rock climbing, Jogging, Bicycling, Kyaking, Canoeing etc.?Do your wear your best watches (Submariner/PO/ seamaster)? Do you wear your mid-range sport watches? Do you wear an $8.99 Walmart special?

Help with Older Girard-Perregaux - ID Please
My father left me his Girard-Perregaux, which he bought just after World War II, probably in Europe where he worked for the State Department. Would anyone like to help me identify it - model, year, details, value? Concerning it's functionality, it must be wound by hand and seems to keep reasonable time however the extra function[ buttons don't work any longer.
