- A very nice unique face on this watch but such a nasty, cheap looking and feeling band. I'm not sure yet if I will pay to have the band replaced or return the watch and wat for a sale. Very upsetting.

Omega 222.18.46.20.01.001 wrist watches news:
It's always nice to see brands celebrating their heritage appropriately. The new Arnold & Son DTE Double Tourbillon Escapement Dual Time watch does just that. Few brands around these days have the luxury of being able to claim their founder played a role in the creation of a complication, much less one as famous and ubiquitous as the tourbillon. Despite the fact that Arnold & Son have not been in continuous operation since the foundation of the company in 1764, the renaissance of the brand owes much to the longevity of John Arnold's professional legacy, embellished through time by his personal friendship with Abraham Louis-Breguet.John Arnold was one of the finest watchmakers of his time. A chronometer specialist by trade, his influence on his contemporary, and ultimate legend, Abraham-Louis Breguet is debatable, but the respect the two shared is not. Both men sent their sons to study under the other. And it is through Breguet's most famous invention ¨C the tourbillon ¨C that the
Musician John Mayer has been very vocal about his passion for collecting watches. Not only has he shared with (and perhaps confused) many of his fans when post images the high-end timepieces from his collection via social media, but he has also participated with the watch industry and news media as a sort of celebrity watch expert. Now John Mayer is suing Robert Maron, a former friend and trusted colleague over what he claims is fraud and the repeated sale of counterfeit vintage Rolex timepieces. The suit for civil damages (John Mayer v. Robert Maron Inc.) filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on March 18, 2014 complains that Robert (Bob) Maron repeatedly sold to Mayer, on advice of Maron's purported and esteemed expertise in the watch community, a series of pre-owned vintage Rolex timepieces that contained counterfeit parts. The larger context is that some (but not all, or even most) rare vintage Rolex watches are extremely valuable, many with prices that can soar over $100,000. These ar
I've had my Williams F1 now for about a week and I recently let my chronograph run for a bit (I had yet to let it run past an hour). When it got near the one hour mark I noticed that the hour dial was already past the first hash and it still had about 5-10 minutes to go for the hour to pass . The minute dial is spot on when the second hand reaches 12 but the hour seems to be running just a bit fast. It's not a huge deal to me since the watch has been keeping excellent time but it definitely is bothering me when I think about it.I know when I first got the watch I made the rookie mistake of not paying attention to the time and accidentally trying to set the date on a valjoux 7750 between the no-no times (2200-200) , could this be why the hour is running fast on my chrono?Any help/feedback is much appreciated
Well, after an excruciating and interminable wait – well, 6 months to be exact, my Tag is back from it’s extended holiday at the AD being serviced, spruced, and pampered. After 12 years I thought it about time to invest in extending it’s life, in return for the great service it has given me.It’s hard to explain, and I don’t know if many of you will understand, but I feel a strong attachment to this watch. I bought it while serving in Iraq in 95-96, and it has been with me through some unusual times, always working accurately, quietly doing it’s job while I tried to do mine.Anyway, the AD finally found a crystal for it, as well as the other bits & pieces it required for the service (it’s ‘only’ an ETA 2824-2 for goodness sake, how hard can it be?) and I picked it up last week.I have to say, I’m very happy with the end result. Apart from a few very small nicks & scratches on the bezel ring (I’m surprised there are
