Invicta 1837 wrist watches news:
A special treat for everyone today - I offer an interesting one-on-one interview with Max B¨¹sser, the founder of MB&F watches. Yes, we discuss the recently announced Legacy Machine No. 1 watch, but that is just a small part of it. Enjoy, and thanks again to Max B¨¹sser for his time and thoughts. mbandfwatches-dealerListen to the HourTime Show watch podcast Max B¨¹sser interview here.Download the MP3.
My favorite watch of all time behind my submariner is the 16713. I have not seen very many of them. Are they not popular among collectors? Please I would love all of your thoughts.
I became interested in mechanical watches about five months ago. Have slowly learned a few things, but mostly jumped right in and with a somewhat limited disposable budget, started buying watches that "seemed" like good deals on Ebay. All are new. I have 5-Citizen Eco-drives, 4-Invicta Pro Divers, 1-Invicta Speedway II, 2-Seiko automatic 21 -jewel, 1-Citizen Eagle automatic 21-jewel, and a few really cheap watches like my first, an AK Homme auto because it "looked nice" for around $30. Which is amazingly accurate for a $30.00 mechanical watch. Regardless, are any of these worth keeping? I have been thinking in my limited purchase range, that vintage Tissot or Omegas are the way to start, seeing them on Ebay often selling for as little as $100-$150 sometimes. Suggestions?
On many older Hamiltons (mid 1930s and earlier) there is often an inscription or personalization on the INSIDE of the case. At some point in time, these inscriptions moved to the outside of the back of the case. Can anyone tell me why older watches were inscribed on the inside (where it would rarely be seen)? And why did the convention change?
I don't see many Wittnauers posted here, either vintage or new. Is there no love for the brand among watch people?
