Ebel E 1976 M 22 / 1215768 wrist watches news:
Does anyone know how to get the case back off this watch:I've tried the typical 3-prong case back opener. The outer ring just spins and doesn't seem to have any thread.I tried using my knife style opener. That only succeeded in drawing blood from my index finger.I always stop trying to open a watch when blood is drawn. Mark S.
This was my father's daily wear for most of his life. When he passed away last year I inherited it from him and replaced the Speidel stretch band with a black leather "lizard pattern" band. The "M0" on the back dates it to 1960 and I have no reason to assume he did not buy it new. He may have even worn it to Vietnam with him. . .no way of telling now. The lugs on this watch are just so **** cool too. This is the watch that, in July of '08, started me collecting watches. Now i'm 35+ watches in with no end in sight. Enjoy! And if anyone has any more info that i've stated, feel free to pass it on! ;)-James
just curious as to what some of you think.
What exactly is a Watchco Omega? Same value as a regular Omega?
I know there are special events throughout the year sponsored by an AD or by Patek with Thierry Stern in attendance. Besides special exhibits like the Munich exhibition or the Grand Complications exhibition, etc, what are these events like? Is it just cocktail and dinner? I received an invite to an event next month which I am sure many members here in the US also received. I am trying to see if it is worth my time since they got buried with snow the past few days and who knows what it'll be like next month with the crazy winter weather.
