Zenith 96.2431.693/21.C738 wrist watches news:
I've been waiting to snag one of these for a long time, but they often go for $300 to $400. I was pleased to get it for $198.Unfortunately when I received it, it wouldn't wind, but instead the dial would spin. So I ending up ordering another movement for $30. Still less than $300 Anyway, that's my story! The heart transplant was a success. It winds fine, it sets fine, and it has kept near perfect time over 12 hoursat least as well as one can tell on a watch without a second hand. The watch is in very nice shape. The 14k gold filling has a just few nicks here and there and just a minute spot of wear through on the back. The dial has a bit of patina, but it seems to show up more in photos and to be honest, to the naked eye and arm's length, it looks just fine. The only drawback to the watch is that the Lord Elgin insignia is missing at 12 o'clock. This seems to be the case with quite a few Futura's. Maybe cleaning or refurbishing is to fault or, as the case with some of Elgin's pai
As this is my 500th post
This is my 1st new omega and courtesy of Father John thank you for the prompt shipping and great price the quality is awesome on this watch from the bracelet to every aspect. Let me say I'm not a big bracelet guy so that's usually the first thing to come off I put a rubber strap on this because I plan on swimming with it the rest of my watches including my Daytona all have leather.
Hi all, I am more than a little bummed. Some lume has come off the dial on my 1987 18038. The watch has never been serviced so it is long past due. I have spoken to some friends who have Rolex and they have said the RSC in New York is the way to go. IĄŻll call them Monday to see what it all entails. I was hoping for some tips. I was going to take some pictures of the watch befor it is sent. I have added two links to the bracelet. Do I need to remove them? Any suggestions?
Here in Asia (Singapore and HK in particular), I've seen a massive spike in pricing for used/pre-owned Hulks. Any reasonable/credible reasons for this?
