Patek Philippe Ref. 3838

I've only had a few German watches over the years; a Nomos, a couple of Junghans,
including an original 1962 Max Bill in NOS condition, a couple of Sinns, (A 756D and an 856S), but the new Glashutte Original Senator Chronometer is a Stunner! I can only wish this piece was available in SS, but the design of the movement, the dial, the timing accuracy, all indicate to me this company has Hit The Big Time, no pun intended. Anybody out there lucky enough to own one?

New arrival just in time for my daughter's wedding...
Last Friday, the day before by daughter's wedding, I had the opportunity to buy a new IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar for this very special occasion in my family. I had been expecting to get a WG Perpetual Calendar, but this RG one became available at my AD and I jumped on it to wear to the wedding and the reception. I am so happy with the two new additions to my family. My new son-in-law and my new IWC.This is a quick couple of shots of this beauty. More photos will follow as I get the professional shots from the wedding. The Perpetual Calendar is a very special watch. All functions are controlled from the crown and it will only miss one moon phase in the next 577.5 years, not that I or my great-great-great grandchildren will know. The watch has many complications: day, date, month, four-digit year display, and the moon phases as well as a power reserve display and small seconds hand. This watch has a 7 day power reserve. It utilizes the Automatic Pellaton winding system.

Scrubbing Bubbles
Hey Guys,I saw a cleaning thread a while back and some people mentioned that they use Scrubbing Bubbles to clean their watches. I used it on the bracelet yesterday and it worked pretty good. Just wondering if it is safe to use on the case. It shouldnt affect the case or crystal should it? Just want to check to make sure.Thanks,Brandon

100th post, and first patek
Today is another one of those monumental days in our rarified hobby. A step into a new brand, or the realisation of something long awaited. I remember the first time I saw the 5711 was christmas 2011, so a very long 6 years ago... But even back then, all I could think about was the rolex submariner I had been learning about and saving up to buy. Since then many rolex have come and gone, as I turned out to have a very large appetite for them once I got started. Even back then though, I'd read around enough to know that patek was a big deal, and the 5711 was a special and widely respected piece. As the store seemed almost empty of customers that day, I had dropped in, out of the snow, to try on the sub again.... Expedited service at RSC?
Does anyone know if it¡¯s possible to expedite service at the RSC? I ask because my 1 week old Sub needs to be serviced since it¡¯s running at -7 sec/day. My AD will cover the shipping costs to RSC since it¡¯s a brand new watch (but will not replace it), however, I¡¯m not happy with losing 4-6 weeks. Can an AD request RSC to expedite servicing?
