New day, new look
Today my watches got a little swap. The rubber strap that was in my Royale got the trash (junk) and I put the bracelet from my invicta on it. And my invicta got my edifice chrono bracelet because it's way nicer. But my poor Edifice has a cheap flimsy folded steel bracelet because it's waiting for a rubber strap. I think I've gotten a feel now for what I really like in a watch, and it has surprised me.What gets the most wrist time now are a Debaufre Triton, a Seiko Premier Kinetic with separate power reserve indicator, a Seiko Kinetic GMT, and a Seiko Kinetic Arctura. I still have my 1995 Tissot quartz, late 80's Seiko SQ100 moon phase, my mood Mickey and my G-Shock. For dressier occasions I have a vintage Benrus being revitalized by a WTF member and I'm working on a vintage Bulova deal with another WTF member. The only thing I feel I'm missing is a chronograph (the G-Shock has a chrono function, I think, but I'd like a nicer, non beater one).The most interesting thing about these ramblings? Everything could change at any time!Any suggestions for an affordable non-diver chrono? How about the Sea Gulls? Affordable vintage? Maybe a quartz Hamilton Jazzmaster or a Seiko Kinetic?I guess it's obvious I've become very fond of Seiko Kinrtic...Any comments welcome and any recommendations appreciated!

If not worn for a while, how often should you cause a mechanical watch to run?
How long should you let a mechanical watch sit without winding it up, or in the case of the Orange Monster and others that can't be wound, without putting it on a winder? If you let it sit too long will the lubricants settle or congeal?I've been trying to work my modern autos into rotation at least every couple of weeks, but my vintage watches may sit for quite a bit longer without being worn. I find that I only like to wear vintage on special occasions since I won't count on them being water or shock resistant.
