Seiko SPL053 wrist watches news:
The fifth edition of the biennial “Only Watch” auction took place over the weekend at the Hermitage Hotel in Monaco. When the final hammer fell, the auction of unique timepieces had raised 5,066,000 euros for research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and a Patek Philippe Ref. 5004T fetched the highest price ever paid for a modern wristwatch at auction. The Patek Philippe watch, the first and only one of its reference with a titanium case, was the subject of fierce bidding among the gathered collectors and philanthropists, who hailed from all corners of the globe. Its final sale price was an astonishing, and record-breaking 2,950,000 euros. Reference 5004, produced between 1995 and 2011 as part of Patek’s Grand Complications collection, is a manual-wind chronograph containing Caliber CHR 27-70 Q, a Nouvelle L¨¦mania base movement produced exclusively for Patek, to which Patek’s watchmakers added a split-seconds mechanism and a perpetual calendar. the “T̵
A bit of HistoryWhen I cannot buy a watch I at least like to accessorize the ones I already have. And I do so with straps. Well as I mentioned already recently, my NATO G10's have lost that attitude I once found attractive. Honestly, I find them a bit dull (no offense to anyone that likes them, JMO). So recently I went on the prowl via the internet for something new and exciting. Something that was a little more military and less seen on the many watch forums. To the PresentThe first strap to attract my attention was the RIFLES Regimental Strap from the regiment of the British Army. It had a flare about it that I could not put my finger on but knew it was something different; and of course military. So after finding nothing else except the same stuff from before, I bought the RIFLES strap and am quite pleased with it.
Hi guys, I have a question and any help or tips would be grateful! We replace watch batteries on a fairly steady basis, for used watches of all brands. Our current issue is that it appears that our new batteries are draining all or mostly before we even install them!We store them in a suitcase. Each size battery is stored together in mini baggies or small fishing tackle style boxes. We usually remove them from the individual packaging because it allows for space saving.Ive never had an issue before (in the last 3 months) with drainage of mass quantity but lately they're all dead!Is it the storage? Are they draining by being against each other in storage? Is it too hot? (It's basic room temperature with AC on during weekdays)Are they just dud batteries? (usually bought from China in 100 qty packages)Any help from a pro or someone who just knows would be awesome. Thanks everyone!Michelle

I got a giant scratch on my Speedy, no idea where or when it happened.Does anyone know where to buy Polywatch in Canada? I found one source, Amazon.ca but they want $24 plus shipping for it. It should sell for around $6or $7. Does anyone have a spare tube to sell?
