Earlier this year my grandfather passed away, and while going through his belongings my mom and aunt found two pocket watches. Knowing how much I love Hamilton, my mom took this one for me and my aunt took the other. She got it cleaned for me and it now runs pretty good (seems to lose a few minutes per day). I know nothing about pocket watches, but it's cool to have a Hamilton. This thing is pretty thick, and quite heavy!My mom and aunt are not sure who it originally belonged to, but they think it must have been a relative, perhaps my great-grandfather. My grandfather was born in 1917, so he came of age with wristwatches (I have a 1939 photo of him and my grandmother where he is wearing some kind of gold wristwatch on leather strap). Anyhow, the watch is in overall great shape for being more than a century old.
