Breitling A4435912/C818/374A wrist watches news:
Hi there guys, I have been offered a White dial speedmaster, just the watch, for 1300 USD. I managed to take some pictures with the iphone, so you guys can have a look. Sorry about picture quality. What do you think, would it be a good buy or not, the watch has regular wear, and feels nice, btw I already have a 1969 Speedmaster and a SMP Co-Ax, but I am always open to spend some money in a good deal.Cheers,MVFHere are the pics:
Hey guys !I decided to spend my entire Sunday doing dial and hand restoration. These are a lesser known metal Elgin military dials that were used in 1917 - 1918.Maybe not lesser known but certainly less popular, everybody always wants the Pershings, RED 12's, and other enamel military dials.Reason being probably is that they did not age very well, more often that not they look like hell after 94 -95 years. So, I decided to show some love to these important pieces of American history!First off, these dials have NOT been refinished ! ! ! ! All work was done in house using techniques that took me quite awhile to develop. No work was done using an ultrasonic machine, this would ruin a metal dial. These dials had the hour marker lum holes drilled at the factory and all are date stamped from 1917 - 1918.I re-lumed the hands myself too.I had to re-do the hour hand twice and the minute hand four times in order to get them right, rather frustrating! But, in the end they turned out fantastic (I think
I'm thinking about buying a chrono avenger m1 second-hand. A few things that I want to run by you guys (I know I'm being paranoid here, since there are no good fakes of m1s, but still...): 1) the authorized dealer, which is perforated into the international warranty card, does not show up on BUSA's site - is that an issue?2) the purchase date is not filled out3) serial # is handwritten. On the warranty card for my AS, the serial number is printed, not handwritten. Thanks!
Hi all - I recently spent a very enjoyable hour and a half at the local Omega boutique looking at a variety of Speedmasters. I really had a blast and was impressed by the knowledge and kindness displayed by the staff there. I do have a question about the Omega Hospitality Club I was told about. The gentleman mentioned some vague benefits to purchasing a watch from the boutique, from early screenings of James Bond films to wine tastings. My question is do you guys know any more about the Hospitality Club? What exactly is it? I know it's mentioned to make paying full retail more attractive to the consumer, but I was pretty unclear on what it actually included. Thanks in advance!
I have a business partner in Switzerland who knows about my watch hobby... Look what she sent me for Christmas!!! How cool is that?
