Hamilton H42615743 wrist watches news:
This month on watches-dealer, we'd like to invite a lucky winner to join us learning to scuba dive and getting a diving certification courtesy of Oris watches. The winner will join us to the Island of Grand Cayman in the Caribbean Sea, located just south of Cuba and to the west of Jamaica. This will be an exclusive opportunity to experience the world of diving in a world-class venue with one of our favorite Swiss "tool watch" brands. Oris produces a handsome selection of professional divers' watches, and because we happen to love dive watches, we felt it was a good idea to explore them in their natural environment: under the water. Please note that this giveaway is open to US readers only, as per Oris' policy, as this trip is sponsored by Oris USA. The winner will receive an all-inclusive five night trip with airfare, hotel, and meals, along with an open water diving certification course in Grand Cayman ¨C and you'll be joined by an watches-dealer team member. During that time, you'll be
Hi all, just thought I'd post a little dive watch SOTC.for no real reason Enjoy!
A friend stopped by with a box of mostly junk, however, he did have a couple of curiosities. This is one; it's a Seiko DX, 17 Jewel automatic and it works, sort of.What makes it odd to me is the case and the crystal. The case instead of being just round extends outward to the hidden lug look. The crystal is faceted. Nine faces and I've not seen that on any Seiko before. The crystal also seems to have a metal open plate with markers at the 12-3-6 and 9 positions which cover the lumed markers on the face. The man worked for Xerox in the 70's and says he bought the watch new at a jewelers in the early to mid 70's, sounds about right, and that it came that way and it was why he bought it. He was always breaking watches and this was the heaviest watch he could find. By heavy, he means the crystal must be 10mm thick or at least it feels like it. The numbers on the back are 6106-7589, on the face it's Japan 6106-7939T, the date code is 4N5419.Any ideas if it is stock or modified?
I can't!!! The slate grey skeleton with rose! Perfection!!
For Christmas, my wife has really gone above and beyond. She managed to pick up some new tools and accessories for me. In addition, she acquired a few practice movements for me to learn on. I can't wait to start taking these movements apart (not the watches in the picture though:).
