Once again proof that Japan gets much cooler stuff than we do here in the West. I still wonder why that is, and the best reason I can come up with is that collector types in Japan are willing to spend more in items such as these Resident Evil themed timepieces. and keeps on ticking!!!!! So, I get dispatched to a found property call. A lady walking her dog finds a briefcase in a ditch and instead of throwing it into the nearest dumpster, she naturally calls the local PD (since we answer the phone). I get there and see this mess, briefcase in a million pieces, tons of rotten papers from the 60's, couple of pairs of eyeglasses, check stubs, and a vintage SS Timex. This briefcase had been in the mud and snow for God only knows how long. I take the mess back to the station and start to inventory it and try to find it's owner. Dispatch finds a relative in town. I pick up the manual wind Timex, it's all covered in mud and the band has fallen apart. Give her a full wind and she starts right up and keeps time for the rest of the night!!!!. Hope the relative doesn't throw it in the dumpster but cleans it up and gives it to a family member!!!

Hi everyone, been reading the forums for awhile and I think I have finally decided to buy my dream watch. I fell in love with the aesthetics of the Royal Oak many years ago but didn't know too much about it at the time. The more I find out about it, the more I see it's value and respect all the work put in to creating a piece like it.I only have 2 nicer watches so far (Rolex Milguass GV for work and a U-Boat Flightdeck Beige for fun) and I was originally going to add a white faced Calibre de Cartier with steel band to my collection. I was kind of set on buying it...but after going to Japan for vacation and actually trying it on a couple times and talking to some people about it, my mind started to wander to AP...I know it's more than double the price but it's what I've always wanted so I figured what the heck?!So...here I am on the hunt for one!
