Tissot T048.417.27.057.01 wrist watches news:
OK, we all love Rolex in this forum - that much is a given. And the title of this thread sounds like I'm suggesting that Rolex is "broken" and that suggestion is highly debatable - I'm not really interested in having the debate. Assume instead for a moment that Rolex is at something of a crossroad - their market has changed dramatically in less than 24 months due to the economy, they have a new leader at the helm, and quite possibly a big gaping hole in the Wilsdorf Foundation trust fund courtesy of Bernie Madoff. Perhaps Rolex needs to do nothing. Perhaps Rolex needs to change radically. What do you think?
Hi, after doing much soul searching for my next watch acquisition, I needed to have a watch that I considered durable, waterproof and with a history. I wanted a watch that had a movement designed in house with a good power reserve. I especially wanted a great deal. I stumbled into an AD on line that had exactly what I was looking for, except it was in Rose Gold instead of Stainless. The deal was more than I could say no to and so without further delay, I present my latest acquisition!Sorry, I do not know how to make these images bigger!BP FF Waterproof Case-Post1.jpgBP FF Case Side 2 Post.jpgBP FF Crown Side Post1.jpgBP FF Dial Post2.jpgBP FF Gold Wrist Post.jpg
The face of my Seiko Spirit SCVS013 tends to get quite dirty. Simply wiping the face with a cloth doesn't always do the trick because some of the substances that attract to the face of the watch only come off with pressure (e.g. from my finger nail). I'm wondering: what is the correct way to wash the face of a watch? Do I need any special solution? And how often should I do it? What else should I do to keep the watch in top-shape?Also, even though the face is made of sapphire crystal, I think I might have managed to get a few small scratches on the face from daily use. Is it possible to have a watch salesmen buff out the scratches, or is it pretty much once you scratch it, it's permanent? How do you guys avoid bumping your watch into surfaces during everyday use? What do you do to make sure your watch will be in great condition for a long time? Finally, over time, can it damage a watch using a spring removal tool to switch bands out to match with outfits? Thanks.
