Cartier w62019x6 wrist watches news:
As I was putting on my watch this morning (today the 116201), I stopped for a moment and thought, "What an awesome feeling it is to wear this watch every day." Each morning when I put on either my 116201 or YM, I get a bit of a rush at how great it feels. After two and a half years of Rolex ownership, I am no less enthralled to wear my watches each day than I was when I walked out of the AD wearing my first Rolex on 6 December 2005. In fact, it just keeps getting better! During my morning walk to the office today, I spent about 90% of the time thinking about how great the heft of my 116201 feels, how the rose gold glistens in the sun, and how (I imagine) I can sense the weight of each of those solid gold center links. (Other 10% was spent watching where I was going!!) :eek:For what it's worth, these watches were a perfect investment for me - their intangible value to me is priceless. :-) (Sorry about the awfully cheesy write-up, but this morning I just really felt strongly about my wa
So what are the reasons why you bought and keep the Rolex watches in your collection? The short answer is, you like 'em! But why? My 16613 appeals to me on many different levels. It is arguably the most iconic Rolex to the non-collector, general public. Like all of us, I was once part of that "general public" that looked upon the watch with awe and wonder. Acquiring it was a grail achievement that I won't soon forget. I've always had a thing for TT watches so that, combined with what is for me the most beautiful dial that Rolex makes translates to the 16613 being a watch I hope to always keep in my collection:I never even considered wearing an all stainless 16610 watch until about the year 2000. It was then when I purchased an Invicta 8926 - a mechanical Sub-a-alike that really got me hooked on the look, and eventually drove me to buy the watch on which the homage was fashioned from. Many don't purchase a Submariner because they say it's so common. But the watch represents so
I have a Seiko SKX007 and a Bernhardt Sea Shark. I believe the Seiko SKX007 winds in both clockwise and counterclockwise motions. The Bernhardt Sea Shark has a Miyota automatic movement and Miyota's wind counterclockwise. I have a dual watch winder. It has a setting for 1. Clockwise 2. Auto mode 3. Counterclockwise.I am thinking about putting both watches in the winder and setting the rotation for Auto so it alternates between clockwise and counterclockwise. The Seiko SKX007 will like this as it winds in both directions, but what about the Sea Shark that only winds counterclockwise? The time options are: Rotate 33 seconds & rest 12 minutesRotate 10 minutes & rest 90 minutesRotate 30 minutes & rest 3 hoursRotate 1 hour & rest 3 hours. What time do you recommend?
Sometimes i take my panda out to dinner just to let her know how much I adore her. Do any of you ever take your watches out to dinner
A few weeks ago I picked up a 14060M Z-serial. It's a beautiful watch and I couldn't be happier, but it was running about +15 secs/day and had a couple of scratches on the bezel and crystal, so I wanted to get it serviced and repaired as needed. RSC said they had no record of it being serviced and there weren't any indications inside the case that it had been worked on before. It's a 10-year old watch, so it's probably time.Yesterday I dropped it off at RSC Dallas and less than 24 hours later I'm missing it on my wrist more than I thought I would. I'm currently wearing a Stowa Antea Klassik KS, which is a fine watch, but it's no 5-digit Sub, that's for sure :)No real point to this post, other than crying to you fine gents since my wife won't want to listen to me talk about how I miss a watch
