No one's death is something to be taken lightly but when someone like Robin Williams dies it causes society as a whole to pause. I was personally shocked, saddened, and depressed to hear that Robin Williams took his own life yesterday, August 11, 2014. The 63 year old actor and comedian surprised the world with news of his most unfortunate passing. I think I speak for most people who can say that Robin Williams is someone that influenced their lives in more than one way.For me, Robin Williams will always be among the wild, yet intellectual, corps of comedians to come out of the 1970s and 1980s. His energy was matched only by his intelligence and ability to funnel his emotions into a host of characters, who will remain as memorable as the man who played them. I don't even think it is worth listing some of the memorable roles he played because there are so many, and each person who was lucky enough to see him perform in various ways has their own personal connection with what he meant to

Vulcain Cricket Annivesary Heart Automatic Calendar Watch
While it is rather pricey this new version of Vulcain's Cricket Anniversary Heart Automatic calendar watch is a lovey timepiece. Over the last few years their Anniversary Heart models have been stealing my attention. I like the design that is classic but still bold, as well as the emphasis on mechanics. I still feel that Vulcain makes the best mechanical alarm watches around.One interesting benefit to a mechanical alarm such as this over an electronic one is the sound. While there are some notable exceptions, most electronic alarm watches have an anemic "beep, beep" to them. Vulcain's Cricket movements make loud buzzing noises and vibrate a bit. I really want to see electronic alarm watches do that as you'll certainly be aware that your reminder if going off. The Cricket movement's alarm also goes off for like 15-20 seconds. It all depends on how fully wound the alarm barrel is. That is sort of the down side - each time the alarm goes off, you need to wind it up again.This new version

Found: A Rolex Submariner Lost At Sea, Recovered 14 Months Later...And Still Works
So we all know that the Rolex Submariner is a good diving watch. But what we didn't know is that the beloved Sub could sink to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, only to be recovered 14 months later, and still work (after a bit of winding).Yes, you read that correctly. The story is, a gentleman was fishing in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of British Columbia when his Submariner's bracelet snagged on his fishing rod. The watch promptly flew into the ocean and sank. The quick-thinking owner marked his coordinates and miraculously worked out a deal with a local dredging barge to search the area from time to time (for a fee of $85 per hour with a $1,000 cash reward). 1 OF 1 Miraculously, 14 months later, the watch was found in 100 meters of water and after a few turns of the crown – it worked! question about the 62510 jubilee bracelet
so I'm thinking about picking up a 62510 bracelet for my GMT II, and I've noticed that the correct jubilee bracelet for the GMT II is the 62510 bracelet with the number 50 on the very last link near the endlink.... why is that? What I'm asking is, is there any particular difference between a 62510 without the 50 and one that has it? What does it mean?
