Hey all, it's been a long time since I've been on here. Just had a quick question and apologies if this isn't allowed.Recently have experienced some financial hardship and need to move a few pieces. Just looking on the current fair market value of a used with care 214270, black dial. All paperwork.Just looking for a starting point. Greatly appreciate any info.
Loved looking at Bens' favorites, here's one of mine that I enjoy and hope you will too-An E. Howard & Company, Boston, Series III N size 15 jewel KW KS # 20172 which puts this around 1861 or so. Reeds 1857 patent barrel. Unfortunatly not the original case, I'm hoping to house this in one someday. Keeps time with a 992 which is a testament to the workmanship from back then. This came to me on a trade, a Ball RR wrist and a Cartier tank with a brutal case, in retrospect I think I came out ahead 20 years ago!Enjoy!
I am posting this for a friend. He owns a very interesting Mido in coral/rose/pink gold with a very unusual dial marked 1939 World's Fair. Has anyone ever seen or heard of one of these before? Evidently Mido participated in the Fair, and the company was shown located in the watch pavilion on the Fair map. Beyond that, we know little. Thanks in advance for your help!Regards,Rick
He used to collect Rolexes, and is beginning to get back into it, which is cool. His wife gave him a Patek Phillipe and I am not sure what model it is...it has a few complications on the front and if you turn the watch over theres a lunar star chart moving thing on the back. Any clue what model that might be? its rose gold. Also, do Pateks tick or sweep like a rolex?thanks.
