- it looks and feels a little on the cheap side, but heck, for the price: it IS cheap. a decent enough knock-around watch that could carry you from working in the garage to having a meal in public.

Chopard 168997-3021 wrist watches news:
How much does an aftermarket bracelet affect a pre-owned datejust? I found a watch I really like; but, discovered it had an aftermarket bracelet, so I walked. Just curious what others would do.
Hey all-Say hello to the newest rookie of Watch Talk! When I was a kid, I remember my mom showing me a fancy, sparkly watch that belonged to her father. My papa began a life as a furrier in Chicago after coming home from WWII. The story I remember my mom telling me was he had a wealthy client who proposed a scenario where they would barter services for the watch. The watch had allegedly been purchased for this man's future son-in-law, but the wedding fell through, and he wanted nothing to do with it. I have no idea when this took place, but he was working during the 50s, 60s, and 70s. My mom gave me this watch a few years ago as a dress piece once wedding fever took over with my friends. This watch holds immense sentimental value, to the point where I never even cared to have it looked it by a professional. But over the years, I've decided I should respect my papa and do some research on what exactly this is. I can guarantee he didn't even know, since he was a prototypical WWII veteran-
Okay, I've been lusting after this watch since I saw the original Ventura electric and loved the unique shape. When the new automatics first came out, I saw the case size and just figured it was too big for my wrist and I'd be ineligible to wear it. BUT, today at our favorite watch shop, my husband asked to see the new auto Ventura and it didn't look that big after all.....and when he decided he didn't like the brown face, I said "lemme see that!", and tried it on and fell in love with it. I do like the brown face, gives a better contrast to the silver tick marks than the silver face....so Merry Christmas to ME! LOL
As many of you know, I just picked up my first AP and I've been enjoying it. Here are a few snap shots from this weekend. Saturday morning was spent taking my daughter to Disney on Ice. This was my view. My wife and the other families we went with had a great timeSaturday was date night with the wife. It's hard to get out on our own these days. We started the evening at a wine bar for drinks and appetizers.Next stop was dinner. We started with drinks and escargot. And ended the evening with a 36 ounce bone in cowboy ribeye tomahawk. I was awakened by my in laws the next morning for some Korean food. They never stop trying to feed me. Are they trying to kill me?!A couple of hours later, my wife and I head to one of our favorite Indian places...for more food. Now the fun begins. Maybe because we were in a food coma, we decided to go to the mall to do some shopping...On the last Sunday before Christmas. I ended up having a great time though. I stopped by the following boutiques, Rolex, IWC
