Cartier WF9011Z8 wrist watches news:
It was only a matter of time before Hamilton decided it was time for a real rehash of the classic Ventura watch. This is not to be confused with now defunct Ventura watches. The Ventura watch model from Hamilton first came out in the age of pre-quartz electronic watches. When "electronic" watches meant something futuristic and exotic. It was the spacey look of the watch that really mattered though. At the time, it was really "out there." Shaped like a shield on its side - many with the popular two-tone leather strap - the Ventura has been in production for over 50 years. It is funny that only more recently have the watches become mechanical. The 50th anniversary Hamilton Ventura sported a partially skeletonized face and ETA 2824-2 automatic mechanical movement. The Ventura has screen time in at least one film. It was worn by the heroes in the Men in Black movies, going along with the retro space-age theme. Over 50 years, very little changed with the look of the Ventura case itself, whic
My AD told me today that Rolex have change the RG Day-Date Rolex has made a new type of Rose gold with Platinum Because of the Platinum in the RG Day-Date it is from march much more expensive Regards Lars
Good Evening...I'm new here, and I have to say how excited I am to have found a really cool site/forum dedicated to watches. I've always loved watches, and while I don't have the wallet to purchase some of the higher priced brands, I don't think there's anything wrong with admiring them. I have a lot of other expensive hobbies (motorcycles, guitars, electronics, computers, guns)...and watches have always taken a bit of a back seat. Still..I do own a few nice watches. I recently purchased an ESQ (have no idea what model, and I will post pics eventually)...Same goes for a Bullova that I was given a few years back as a gift. I've got a number of other relatively cheap watches...but I still like them.In any event...I'm going to get to the point of my post. I hope I'm posting in the correct forum...if not, I do apologize...and I hope someone can steer me in the right direction. So my father passed away last year, and I inherited a few watches. One, in particular, is a quality piece.
So... I went into an AD, knowing how they never have any Professional models available. And I bought a Sub Date (they had two in stock), because those are never in stock. 5% discount, European price w/o VAT (6400ish).Anyway, some TRF-confirmed facts.a) No more stickers. They now rip off stickers when receiving the pieces. Everything on display must be w/o stickers, same with pieces they hold.b) Professional models are registered with Rolex. Buyer name, address etc are registered at Rolex SA before selling the piece. Rolex sends a 6 digit confirmation code to confirm the warranty has been registered.Apparently your open papers watches aren't warrantied anymore (card must match name in Rolex database for first owner).c) Clearly they really are chasing down on the gray market stuff, it took me half an hour to get everything sorted (and don't forget, I've bought a few hundred new watches from AD's, I know how to play this game). So, something really is changing.
Thank you in advance.
