Cartier W2008751 wrist watches news:
OK, here's a question for all you stainless steel Daytona lovers. At what price point do you sell your beloved Daytona's? Say you bought it for $7,900, or even an earlier price like $6,975 or $6,550. The new price with tax is about $10,500. So the pre-owned prices will probably go up a bit (though I doubt too much - they didn't move too far after the large increase in Mar. '08). What would it take for you to sell your Daytona? Is there really a price-tag to sell, or is it like a child - not for sale at any price? Let's hear your thoughts Oh, and just to be clear. No - you can't have mine
Hello,Sorry to start in the forum by asking for help :)A long time ago, I used to have a small, about tenis-ball sized, spheric (small flat section on the bottom), glass or crystal "paperweight" clock. It had a crown at the top for winding. It looked something like the one on the photo. Had a seconds second dial in the bottom half of the face. However, the crown was much smaller (not as high), it didn't come out anywhere near as much, and the gold plated part in the photo (the mechanism) was black, and thinner. I'm also somewhat sure it had a calendar (date in a small square) though I could be mistaken about this last part. Now, I'm more or less sure it was an Omega. Anyone happen to have any information on a Omega clock of this type from somewhere between the 50s and 70s? I'd really like to try to get a model number or name or something, as I'd really love to find one. Thanks for any help!Luis
I've been wearing this Christmas gift to myself for two days now and I'm quite pleased with it. I've not been fond of dress watches this size, but this watch is so nice and such a bargain that it's winning me over. Just looking at it, it's easy for me to forget that it's not a "luxury" watch. It certainly has a nice feel to it and it's precision seems to be within COSC at this time. We'll know better in a few more days.
Hello All,Been thinking about acquiring 5164. Currently have a 5980r, AP 26400 FC, AP Diver and Rolex 116613LB (two tone sub) and a Panerai.Would have to move the AP26400 and possibly the 116613LB (or not). This would leave me with a 5164 and the AP Diver as daily wearers. I'm a little concerned that the two pieces maybe a little too similar ? I do have a bracelet for the diver and a hornback black leather strap so they wont both be on rubber.Any thoughts on the move or better suggestions would be greatly appreciated !TIA
Hello everyone,I came across this vintage Patek Philippe watch and I cannot seem to find the model number engraved anywhere on the case, inside the caseback or the movement. I'm hoping someone here can help me identify this watch as well as any information about it. The number movement is 864505 and the number on the inside of the caseback is 632308.Thanks in advance. Here are the pics...
