Bulgari AA31WGG wrist watches news:
Once again, it seems that Ariel's theory (here) that we are on the way to a consumer-grade smart watch is well on-track to being proven true. While this latest Kickstarter?project doesn't hit all of the points he made, it is advancing us further along the path. The new HOT Watch (yeah, a goofy name, but it ostensibly stands for "Hands On Talk" - more on that in a minute) is from a Dallas firm we've never heard of before - PH Technical Labs. As you might guess from the name, this is a company that's no stranger to electronics, but this is their first watch as far as I can tell. Fortunately, this is one of the nicer-looking watches we've seen in the segment, no doubt helped by the design work of Michael Foley (another name I've never heard of, and couldn't turn up any info). One surprising bit of the design is how thin the watch is. Coming in at only 8mm thick, this should make for a very compact watch (hopefully battery life isn't lost in that tradeoff - estimated standby life is 3 days)
I see they are running the Rolex 24 hour race in Daytona Beach today. I wonder how many drivers wear a Rolex. I see Rolex is running several commercials during the race for the Rolex Daytona watch too. I guess what better place to run a commercial for a Rolex watch than during the Rolex race. I wonder if Rolex gives a watch to the winner, in addition to their money winnings? Rob
Hi All,I am spending a week in Orlando, FL. Any watch places that I should visit?Thanks,-Sheldon
Well, it's only been a week but already my spouse is giving my new 15300 looks of envy! Fortunately, it's too big for her wrist lug-to-lug, so no danger of a swipe, although I may have to hide the SubC.Going to start looking to pick up an AP for her too, either the 36MM 14790ST, which may be hard to find in NOS or great condition, or wait and see the new 37mm 15450ST later this summer when it hits stores. The current 37mm ROO is nice, but not on the list. I know the 15450 will have the 3120 caliber movement, but not sure about the 14790. Any thoughts?
An AD visit today to see my watch, (6 months to go until have saved enough), but am now wearing this in the meantime!
