Baselworld Preview: Blancpain’s New Villeret Model
Prior to the opening of the 2012 Baselworld watch fair in Basel, Switzerland this week, Blancpain has offered up what it refers to as an “appetizer” to the main course of new models to be unveiled at the show. It is the first model in the brand’s Villeret collection to feature a flinqu¨¦ lacquered dial, on which several layers of translucent blue lacquer are applied to create the effect of depth. Housed within the new watch’s 40-mm-diameter white-gold case is Blancpain’s ultra-slim Calibre 7663Q, which contains 244 parts and 34 jewels and has a three-day power reserve. This new self-winding movement powers the hour and minute hands as well as a center-mounted, serpentine-shaped date pointer. The running seconds are on a retrograde display at 6 o¡¯clock. The under-lug corrector at 5 o¡¯clock enables fast date adjustment. Looking for opinions for a new watch winder
I'm looking for a new watch winder that can accomodate 3-4 watches. I've basically narrowed it down to the Quad Rotolution Winder or the Wolf Designs Roadster 2.7.Does anybody here have any experience with these two winders?I need something as quiet as possible (silent) and it must be programable and it should be capable of running on AC, so if you know of another winder that you can recommend, please share on this thread.Thanks in advance for your help.

my OM is in dire need of a service. about a week ago it started to gain approximately 20 seconds a minute. what is the best way to go about having it serviced? the online dealer who is to go unnamed has failed to respond to my emails. its under warranty

I've always thought it was a shame to not make some use of these beautiful boxes and this one sits pride of place in my home office. I've carefully removed the lining and filled it full of bits and bobs. does anyone else make use of there boxes at all??regardsdarren

I'm an avid collector of VC, JLC and vintage Heuers. I haven't made the plunge yet to PP. But for my first PP I'd like to buy one for my wife. There are two styles she was interested in. She likes all rose gold, but those can be pricey. But also she needs a daily wearer.
