Cartier xx wrist watches news:
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch". In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Chistopher Ward (CW): Hello, my name is Christopher Ward and I am addicted to watches. I¡¯m also one of the founding members of Christopher Ward London Limited. There may be some connection between those two points.ABTW: What was your first grail watch?CW: My hometown, Liverpool, is home to one (and only one) of the world¡¯s best soccer teams but it also has a rich history in watchmaking. My first grail watch was a pocket watch by Thomas Russell, based in Liverpool. The company made early keyless watches, including Karrusels and chronometers, mainly in the second half of the 19th century.ABTW: What did you like so much about the watch?CW: I love the clarity of its design; it has such deceptively simple, clean lines and
Took a new pic of the current state of my collection last evening.1987 GMT, 2008 GMT and not sure about the Tudor though I did buy it last December.Replaced the original Tudor bracelet with a Rolex Oyster. I also brushed the top of the case to match the brushed bracelet, but left the sides polished. Looks about perfect now

Power-reserve indication on the oscillating weightFirst launched in 2009, the L-evolution collection is entering its third year of existence with a model that is exceptional on all levels. this latest addition to the collection is equippednot only with a tourbillon and a large date display, but also with a power-reserve indication appearing on a subdial directly integrated onto the oscillating weight. Yet another world first for Blancpain! The power-reserve indication is generally displayed on the watch dial, or on the bridge side of the movement. This year, Blancpain offers a third and unprecedented solution that involves indicating the power reserve on a subdial placed directly on the oscillating weight, with which it is interdependent. This new complication, already patented in 2007 and slightly modified since, is the result of more than two years¡¯ work by the Blancpain R&D teams. Transferring the power-reserve indication to the oscillating weight has been achieved by an original
I went to get a Rolex GMT IIc and ended up coming home with an Omega Seamaster 300M GMT. Less than 1/3rd the price and, IMHO, a better looking watch. :)I also picked up a Tag for my wife and the overall wasn't even half the price of the Rolex. I already have a Sub so the Rolex itch has been scratched already (well, for now).Great watch, great service at my AD and I'm happy. Rock on!
