It was only a matter of time before Hamilton decided it was time for a real rehash of the classic Ventura watch. This is not to be confused with now defunct Ventura watches. The Ventura watch model from Hamilton first came out in the age of pre-quartz electronic watches. When "electronic" watches meant something futuristic and exotic. Is My New Longines Flagship Watch within specification ?
Last Sat. I bought a brand new Longines Flagship automatic from a highly reputable store in Canada. Before purchase, the sales rep told me that I could expect it to keep time +/- 5 secs per day. Well I am now 2 days into owning it and it is + 23 secs fast per day. Now the rep is back peddling. I don't know what to expect. I know some high end watches ( eg Rolex ) keep time to within 5 secs / day. To me, a watch which cost nearly $2,000 should be able to do better than +23secs / day. What is the correct tolerance for a watch like this ?

Hey Everyone:Just out of curiosity, how difficult is it to source a Royal Oak jumbo these days?I've read on some sites that its available only through boutiques. Is this true?I never see them in stock at my AD. And I think I've only seen a handful for sale on the forums here in the last few years. More PP 5711s seem to change hands on the forums than AP 15202STs.Regards,M

Well Christmas is cancelled !! Had the call, total wrong time and earlier than I wanted but my 50th birthday present has tipped up 10 months early but could I turn it down ?? Not when the other half saw it and declared it gorgeous. I didn¡¯t think that there would be any deliveries before Christmas from Rolex but it¡¯s fresh of the truck today. May I introduce my new SD43 or if you prefer the 50th anniv Sea Dweller. It may look like the town hall clock on the wrist but they are my other half wrists as you guys have now got as close to it as I have.
