Omega De Ville X2 Big Date Watch Available On James List
This sure isn't an Omega watch you see every day. In fact, I am not even sure how widely watches like this square cased De Ville X2 are sold in America. This piece is only a few years old and comes in a few versions - I think it is still sold in retail stores. This model is the Omega De Ville X2 Big Date. Seen here in steel, it also comes in in gold as well. I am a bit fascinated by the design as it is highly unusual compared to what people in the US think of when they consider Omega watches.Familiar with the "California dial" that mixes Roman numerals on one side of the dial and Arabic ones on another? Well this watch plays with that concept in another watch. The "X2" for sample is Omega's way of writing "12." Just like "V1" is "6" (as opposed to VI). Omega Speedmaster Day Date Question
This is a watch I have been wanting to get for a long time. Back in 2001, the black dial model had other color hands and one of them had a rocket, but it seems the new version is all black. I also would like to see a black dial watch with a silver bezel as I think the black bezel would be prone to scratches and the paint would come off. Does anyone know if they will have a black dial version with the bezel being silver instead of black. I have seen older Speedmasters day date in that combination.Thank You

First German watch... new arrival
Well thanks to WWIIbuff and his thread about the DeckWatch I couldn't help myself. About 3 weeks ago I placed my order and the watch arrived today. The watch is really beautiful in person I must say. It wears very comfortably and has some nice detail to it. I see this as my stepping stone to other Germans down the line and I hope it opens some new doors for my collection. I already have the upcoming Stowa Chrono on order I will take some more/better pics with actual camera a little later this evening, but snapped these with my phone as I was opening...enjoy!I like the 'WIS' stamp on this one and the obligatory wrist shotwill update soon!

G'day All. Greetings from an Aussie in Outback Zambia. It's a long story.Just happened to be passing through Johannesburg, South Africa a couple of months ago as is my want when I spotted what very soon became my newest watch. A Jet Set Verbier.I've since tried to find out more about this "Jet Set" mob - resulting in me joining this forum and thereby discovering new ways to jeopardise my relationship with my exceedingly watch disinterested and expenditure conscious wife. This one appeared under the xmas tree, addressed to me "with love" from my teenage sons. Both of course who knew nothing about it.Anyone know this brand or have seen a review? Would very much appreciate hearing from you.As I slide into middle age my eyes are getting worse and what people say about my appearance means less to me. These factors combine to see me wearing watches that are increasingly larger and more outlandish. Having spotted a Russian Diver at the Invicta Forum I think I need to start working on
