Got my Seiko Ananta Double Retrograde
I just received my Seiko Ananta Double Retrograde with black dial. I haven't had a chance to take pictures yet (or resize the bracelet or even set the time). Overall, the watch is nicer than I expected. The case is very impressive and the finish is wonderful. The markers on the dial are also beautifully done. The dial itself is nice, but nothing exceptional. The seconds hand is very nice, but the minutes and hours hands are my least-favorite part of the watch; fully polished and highly-reflective - not a fan of that on hands - GS hands are much more impressive and visible. The crown is ok, but unsigned. The bracelet is quite nice, but mine has a strange defect that looks like a manufacturing problem. If I examine carefully the polished sides of the links (the sides where the pin holes are located), I can see faint circles in the middle of those sides. There's one circle on each side of each link, and this shows up on all the links - quite weird.The movement looks nice, but small on suc

What are your feelings on "recased" pocket watches?
I've seen several extremely nice older pocket watch movements re-cased as wrist watchesusually coming from the Ukraine through eBay. Aside from the often absurd sizes (often 50+mm), I think many of them look pretty good. I've been looking at some smaller ones - under 45mm, but not too many pocket watch movements can be put into such a wrist watch case, so they're harder to find. Anyone here have any experience with any of them? I don't have any real issues with the idea of a re-cased watch, as long as it looks reasonable, and hopefully was done to a loose movement, or severely worn/damaged watch. What say ye all?

which Omega watch would you want to have with you? Many of you have several in your collection and have several on the wish list but if you had to choose just one Omega, which would it be and why?I'd be torn between a Planet Ocean or Speedy Pro but I'm curious to see what everyone else would choose if they could only have one Omega.

I like to share my happiness with everyone here.Please let me know how do you think about 6104/1G. So far I don't fully understand how skymoon works. I will learn later. 116710LN replacement clasp
I've had my clasp polished a few times on my GMT Master ll the metal on the clasp is still polishable and fine however I'm thinking in three or four years when I could do a complete service I may replace the clasp.I guess I shouldn't have had it polished but there isn't that much metal on it and once you polish it a few times it starts becoming thin the centre indentation, what is the cost of a new clasp or for that matter bracelet for one of these things anyone out there know
