Blancpain Blancpain 17924 wrist watches news:
Luxury watch durability is an important issue to both consumers and retailers. People who spend money on expensive watches have a certain expectation of strength and durability, and those expectations aren't always met. We are talking about the type of activity a timepiece is designed for and when it is likely to break. In short, there is an educational and informational problem in the watch industry surrounding the issue of explaining to customers when wearing their new high-end watch is a good or bad idea.I recall a few months ago leading a seminar about watches to a group of retailers. A few jewelry and watch retailers began to complain that watch brands don't do enough to tell customers what is and is not appropriate when it comes to how to wear their watches. It seemed that people would go rock climbing with their new Patek Philippe or Swimming with their new Chopard dress watch. The consumers would then angrily return to the store complaining that their new "incredibly expensive
I am sending a Hamilton Clark which needs a new Crystal off for service. I bought a lot of crystals on the swamp, but most are not marked by model number, only by a code. Does anyone know the code number for the Hamilton Clark Crystal (1930's model)?
I have become very fond of the Grand and King Quartz from mid to late 70s.Beautiful design and great movements (+/- 20s per month to +/-10s per year, see this list at GMT+9 for details:gmtplusnine/wp-conten...s/tqtabled.htm).This is my current collection:4843-7000, 19754840-8041, 19764842-8041, 19764843-5011, 19764840-8110, 19774843-8110, 19779943-8010, 19789943-8000, 19784823-8050, 19764823-8110, 19775856-7030, 19784823-8130, 1978Stefan
After having my Khaki GMT Air Race for only 2 months, I came home to notice that there was significant moisture under the crystal on the dial side. I had left it at home for the weekend with all the crowns securely tightened and it was not near water at any point, so it must be a faulty seal.I sent it off to an authorized repair center yesterday (an annoying out of pocket cost since it requires insurance), so hopefully I'll hear something next week.Anyone have any experience with this sort of problem or with warranty claims? I'm pretty disappointed, as none of my other watches have ever had this type of problem, even when swimming.I had purchased the Hamilton believing it to be a well built timepiece and plenty capable in dealing with moisture given its 100m depth rating. I actually just bought my fiancee a lady jazzmaster for her birthday since she needed a new watch, and I was even looking at purchasing a new jazzmaster chrono automatic this week. Guess I will have to hold off on
