Alan Maleh is a collector. He's a collector of art, of furniture, of classic automobiles, and of watches. He's also the founder and publisher of an upstart magazine called Man of the World. Hot on the heels of the release of its seventh issue, Maleh's brainchild has become one of the most interesting, creative, and talked about publications in the world for its unrelenting looks at craftsman and artists doing things the old-fashioned way, coupled with incredible original and archival photography. Maleh and his magazine are both particular and unabashed in their focus, and today I am proud to present you with an inside look at this taste-maker's personal wristwatch collection. This is Talking Watches with Man of the World founder Alan Maleh. 1 OF 20 Alan is a serious watch lover. Hi,First Post on this forum. My Father is giving me his Hamilton watch next week that was a wedding present from his parents (my grandparents) in 1951. I do not know what it is yet as I have not seen it but I will receive it and take a picture and start a new thread asking questions about it. All that I know so far is that it is gold, and has a round face. As I said, I will know more next week.In the meantime, I am looking to buy a chronograph without a tachymeter on the outer ring (which rules out about every Rolex! :)) and like the looks of the Hamilton Jazzmaster Maestro. In addition I think it might be kind of cool owning an old Hamilton and a new one. In checking the Maestro, I see that some of them have ETA 7750 and others have ETA H21. Can anyone give me some insight into this? I have read that 7750 is considered top of the line but is H21 a big downgrade? And why do some watches in the Maestro line have one and others have the other?Thanks....Howard
I took these for a Rolex owner who wanted to see the level of AP finishing. Not my best work, but I thought I'd share them here.I should note that there is nothing wrong with Rolex. I own a 114060 and want to add a Daytona to the collection. Haha.
I know its a long shot but thought I would toss it out here. If any of you don't want your incoming or know of an AD who has an extra, I would love to pick one up.Have not been following Omega at all for several years as I focused my collection on other brands. I completely missed this release and am a lifelong peanuts fan. I have a small Everhart collection.Anyways, let me know
